The don't get much regardless of what happens.

The Humble Indie Bundle has been pirated thousands of times.

Also, If I spent five years making a game, investing my time and money in it, what gives you the right to steal it from me just because you don't want to pay for it?

look, i in fact have emulators such as NO$GBA and well no others... BUT making back ups is totally legal and i know some n00b is only gonna read that part andvtry to snipe me, but to download a ROM/ISO/PG means to actually OWN the game too and you could still download pirated software it's not like the cops are gonna fire they're lazars at you for it and you will not goto jail. Alright, if you, and about 10,000 other people pirate a DS game that's $30. That's about
$300,000 Dollars out of the pocket of the makers of the game. And that's being generous.

Black Ops was the most pirated game of 2010. With 4.27 MILLION copies pirated (This was at the end of 2010, many more have been pirated). At 60 dollars to buy it, the company lost two hundred fifty-six million two hundred thousand dollars.

That's a lot. You pirates think that's okay, when it's not. If that money got to the company, they wouldn't have to make the prices on the games so high. Ya'll are doing this to yourselves.

I will honestly admit I do use NESoid and SNESoid on my Android...for those of you who don't know, they are emulators.

I know some random loser is going to start flaming me for this, but when was the last time Nintendo made a cent off of the old cartridge games? I know Nintendo does make money off of them from virtual console games, but I already legally bought the ones I use with my emulators.

Have you pirates ever thought that they're expensive because they're pirated? They need to turn up a profit so they can put food on they table. But people pirate them, so they have to raise prices to earn a living.

I also pirate on urge moments, like the day i had 4 bit.trip games and there was no money to pay for them on the wii shop, so i investigated and got my wiiware games for free, after a while, i paid them on the wii shop.

I fully support piracy, for economy reasons, if you have the money to buy games, do it...if not......well.....there's piracy.

Perfect points, and everything is correct. But some people don't care. The economy, bro! Do you think our parents are interested in spending their money on more video games, after spending how much on getting the system and two games? New flash, not all parents want to do that.

Thus, leaves us no choice but to pirate them. I do it with my PSP all the time, because my parents would never buy another game for me unless it's an ocassion. I have to hack my PSP, and download games illegaly, onto it.

Don't get me wrong, the developers certainly
deserve their well earned money, but some people just don't have the money for it. They can get their money from people who don't know how to pirate it.

Obviously you do not support the developers if you steal their software. And I'm sure games would be cheaper there if so many people didn't steal them.

Think of how much the video game industry loses a year due to piracy. If everyone were to actually buy the games, prices may come down because they would not have to compensate.

In fact, now that I think about it, one game really stands out.
It was a game just like Mario Bros, but it had a Pikachu instead, and all the enimies were Pokemon. Even the fireballs were thunderbolts. This might've been a ROM hack, which is pretty cool, considering how I didn't learn about those for almost 5 years afterwards. It's still a bad thing though, because I'm sure that a large number of those games were genuine.

When I was about 7 or 8, one of my friends traded me a GBA game with no sticker on it, and when I asked him what it was, he said something like "It has a lot of games on it." Sure enough, it had at least 5 games for each letter of the alphabet. This must be what that was.

This reminds me of Mexico, in which I went to for a family trip last summer. I saw this stand selling pirated PSP, XBOX, Wii, discs, and 3DS, and DS flashcatrds. The XBOX and Wii pirated games needed some kind of "hack chip" to be installed into the hardware itself in order to play those pirated games. For the PSP and 3DS, you could just insert-and-play. Just don't update your firmware. Of course, I bought nothing, but I thought that it was just for losers aswell. Good blog. +1

One of my regrets is that I never took any action against the guy who sold me a clearly fake ACWW for full price over Amazon. Funny thing is, I ordered another from a different buyer, and that was fake too.

To add insult to injury, I couldn't even play them, because they malfunctioned on my DS Lite and my DSI XL says they're corrupt.
