A Tanka, according to Asian tradition, is a poem that you write to someone who has written you a Haiku. It is a way of saying thank you. The Tanka poem does not have to be onthe same subject as the Haiku. A Tanka is five lines long and the number of syllables in eachline follows this pattern: (5-7-5-7-7)
White all around you
You see no color around you
The sparkles are so nice there
The cloudd are all gray
