Everyone has a vice that is shorting their lifespan. Drugs, alcohol, fast food. Addiction is a sad part of life, but you must learn from mistakes made. You can't change a smoker who has smoked for years. They will have to accept consequences for their choices. And thats that, their choice.
My grandparents smoke, and believe me, the smell alone convinces me to never try smoking.
