Hello everyone. Today i'm going to review the Kindle Fire, Amazon's way of saying "I want to start a fight with Apple." Lets begin.
Looks
The Kindle Fire looks ok, it's not something you would show off in public, more like showing off to your family. Not in public. It's shape is a Rectangle, so it's not a square. It's kinda nice to hold in your hands, but it makes your hands sweat like crazy.
Buying Apps
As always, you want to add Apps to your tablet to make it "better", but when you first start up, you must put your credit card info in order to buy apps, which is quite annoying.
But it's ok.
WiFi
Every tablet needs wifi, which makes surfing the web possible, however, the wifi is quite slow. It lags more than a Dsi. Even with a strong connection, it will lag.
BOOKS.
With the name Kindle, of course it will have books. Sadly, the books are the only darn thing that doesn't lag. Most the books cost ALOT. Your lucky if you find a free book. Most books cost over $10.00 US Dollars. (The good books anyway.)
So be ready to spent a lot on books.
Movies and shows
Yes, you can download movies and shows, however, theres a catch. You can only RENT movies for 48 hours.
As for tv shows, you can buy the whole season, or buy the episode. With no time limit.
Music
Music is nice, it doesn't lag, it's loud, and you can buy the song, or the album. Only thing that is simple.
And thats it for this review. I'd say it's OK, i'm not going to say you should get ASAP, you should only get it if theres a hole burning in your money. Total score: 6.9
(Do know that if you get angry fast, don't get the Kindle Fire.)
I got a regular Kindle, and it doesn't even have sound. Or web browser. But I guess I have to make the best of it, since it was 70 bucks spent.
There is actually a web browser. But it's rather hard to find. Go to the area that you search for things, and set it to search the web. Search anything, and it pulls up a web browser with the Google results. It's extremely slow and colorless though.
Yes, the Fire lags when surfing the web, but remember, it's original purpose is for BOOKS, not apps or web browsing. They spent more time on perfecting the book than anything else because that's the main purpose. The books are expensive, though. I'll give you that. All the free ones are either classics, terribly writen, or...well.. "naughty". x.x Anyways, just wanted to put that out there.
[Btw, you should be trying to be byast between Apple & Amazon. It's pretty clear up front that youre an Apple person, so make sure you be byast next time.)
(Waiting for someone to go 'Hur, hur, 69! (Brain-challenged face)')
Still my school ia giving one of these away for people who have perfect attendance in the second semester, so it's good to know it's at least somewhat worth it.
