1: In SSBB, only one player can grab onto a ledge at a time. This can be a very useful rule if the other player is on the sides of the stage. By grabbing the ledge, the other player has no choice but to fall off the stage since they can't grab onto the ledge and pull themself up.
2: If you are fighting on a stage that you can walk off, like Green Hill Zone or Bridge of Eldin, its possible to instantly kill someone at 0%. All you have to do is lure the opponent to the far side of the stage then grab them. Now all you have to do is throw the player off the stage. Insta-kill!
3: If you are fighting when a deadly object or stage hazard like the weird pink monster in New Pork City appears, its easy to kill the opponent by throwing them into a trap. Items like pitfalls and motion sensing bombs are great for this technique.
4: There is a way to keep from losing a life when hit at any %. This is done by pressing guard when you hit a wall. This will stop you completely, allowing you to survive.
5: Have you ever been killed by one of the hammers? Here is how to easily kill someone with any kind of hammer. Go to a part of the stage that has a pit. Wait untill you are just about to get hit and press guard.
If you did this right, you will perfect guard. Quickly press A and you will grab the opponent. Simply throw him off the stage and watch him plunge to his death. This even works with golden hammers. Just hit the opponent if they persist in mid-air.
