Zach felt like wet cement as he woke from his slumber. His limbs were held in place by frayed rope. The fibers irritated and chafed his wrists and ankles. Ignoring his predicament for the time being, he observed his location.
It appeared to be the local shipyard. Many cruise ships and cargo boats were tethered to the shore, bringing in and out a variety of goods. He was on boarding dock 7, and there lie a massive Ship, fittingly named Iron Goddess. Although the beauty was lacking, the sheer size and craftsmanship was enough to put anyone into awe.
As Zach eyed the wonder, he was oblivious to the lackeys behind him.
Their names were Todd and Quinn, but they were known as Ivory and Diamond. They were partners in crime their whole life. Their main business was illegal rhino and elephant killing and enslaving kids to mines in Africa. The two did have a soft spot for children, so their workers were given nutritious food and good housing. It was nearly American.
The two men hefted Zach into a crate to do their boss`s bidding. Zach was to be drowned and never seen again. Ivory and Diamond experienced qualms as they placed Zach inside. The two men teetered on what they should do next.
Zach was in luck that day, as their guilt overpowered them. The men knew the captain of the Iron Goddess, and requested a special delivery to Africa. From there, Zach was to see a man by the name of Jamar, the man who carried on Ivory and Diamond`s business.
Zach was left in the dark of these news, literally and metaphorically.
The ship set sail, as the two men watched. Little did they know that their well intended plan to help Zach had dire consequences.
Rhino had sent Shadows, a branch of his mob who were expert observers. The treachery was sure to be reported.
Todd and Quinn had already figured out that they were already dead men, and eluded the assassins.
Zach was halfway to Africa when the Shadows had dealt with Todd and Quinn.
