I'm starting an educational series. Let me know if I should keep going. Every so often, I'll do another one with a different topic. Feedback needed!
Pyschological Methods of Torture
Physical Methods of Torture
The rack is a torture device consisting of a rectangular, usually wooden frame, slightly raised from the ground, with a roller at one, or both, ends, having at one end a fixed bar to which the legs were fastened, and at the other a movable bar to which the hands were tied. The victim's ankles are fastened to one roller, and the wrists are chained to the other. This was truly a horrible way to extract information. Here is a picture of the rack.

Quoth Moulderquote]Besides the mentioning of the gentiles which isn't really child friendly, good blog. BTW they don't use the electric chair anymore. They find it humane. They use lethal ejection now which is virtually painless. What they do is they give you one shot to knock you out, and another to stop your heart. Of course, I disagree with this method because the person doesn't feel any pain like his/her victim probably felt when he/she was having the life drained out of their bodies. But oh well, and eye for an eye. They still loose life. They do use the electric chair in a few states, I believe. But in 2009 or 2010 it was banned as a form of execution. There are few places that still use it because it's mostly underground despite laws.[/quote]

There was this one man back in the mid evil days who was so tall he couldn't fit on the rack. So the guard who was supposed to kill him made a contraption that would slowly crush his insides. It was on 1000 Ways to Die an interesting but VERY MORBID show. The poor man died a very painful death indeed. I don't want to go into details. From what I understood though he didn't deserve his death. He didn't kill anyone he just betrayed the king. But then again there is nothing I can do about it. +1 btw
