Why is Hatena losing its "fun"?~DEBATE~

Savii When I first got my Dsi XL on Christmas 2010 I loved it.One of the first features I checked out was the "Flipnote Studio" application.I got the grip easily,and made some movies to impress my friends.

Seeing as my friends loved them,I decided to check out Flipnote Hatena,which lets you share animations online.

I was ecstatic about being able to do this,and uploaded loads of movies.Soon the stars came in.I didn't really care about them that much,as I was having so much fun.I also loved other peoples animations,and their brilliance of drawing.

However,soon I became a witness to the horrors of "star-begging" and "stealing flipnotes".I mean,get 2 things straight.

1.Stars are useless.Even if you have a load,they aren't worth anything.So whats the point in begging for them?
2.Everyone has their own talent,so you shouldn't be stealing anothers.

and then....the comments.My god,they were horrible.Swearing EVERYWHERE...I just couldn't take it.I quit Hatena for about a year before deciding to check back today....

and found that almost half of Hatena had left!

According to "Geezer"s flipnote,which I saw when I entered,Flipnote Hatena Version 2.5 has arrived.Many people didn't like the idea if a new Hatena,and just quit.Like that.

What i'm trying to say is,this is a kuds animation site.Where has the fun gone?It was built for drawing,sharing and most of all,fun.

So why are Scammers,Star Beggers and Plain Adults taking over?
And more importantly...

Where has the original fun of Hatena gone?

Gizmo, Boss and Pichu did not leave. Scribbiler was one of my fans, but dropped ever since I gave him permission to use my dynamic duo 'Blake and Shyguy[[Nick Hodges]]'

Did scribbler, boss, gizmo, and pichu leave? They have all Ben in the top ten at least 60 TIMES, and they were my FAVS. I heard that boss left though.

I took a break from hatena and when I came back the mp was FULL of stolen flips,scams,starbegging flips. . .

The more stars you have the higher your rank is, the more popular your flipnote, & the more people actually like it.

That being said, I think popularity of Hatena is waning because there's never any new features, like new colors to use, etc. Plus all the flipnotes are the same-series about teenage love/breakup, maybe the occasional supernatural series.

I quit because of a few things.

1. The noobs disliked popular flipnotes until only the starbeggers were keft, and when those were gon e only the crappy ones were left.

2. They don't change the recommended.

3. I can't find the original popular list, if I did, it was overrun by idiots.

4. All the awesome creators left.

I think it's because of the 3DS release; Everyone traded in their old DSi for a new snazzy 3DS, with hopes of SwapNote's future release (or is it out...?). Therefore, we have the star beggers and theives left.
I HONESTLY have to say that I love the new Hatena look! You can dislike flipnotes from star beggers, and even view recomended flipnotes based on your interests! The dislike feature has it's faults, but I haven't seen it been abused once.

Either way, the original Hatena was great, but like everything, change is bound to happen! If creators are leaving because if that, they need to suck it up. The theiving can be solved by reporting the stolen flipnote (and recieving a free green star if you're first ;D), and having it removed. I've been on Hatena for most of the duration (three years) and I haven't had a problem with the developing of the site. Let's just all have fun, draw, and BE HAPPY.

No, no, Hatena stopped being fun after the 1 and a half years it was rekeased, then thats when all those little kids got a dsi, and ten started star begging, Im still on it, I mean theres no reason to quit, I dont know why everyones whining about star begging, sure its annoying but just ignore it and look at some of the creative, and talented people, like Y-Dash

Hatena is still a good fun place but it has gotten boring. but try Wanting to do something its not that you have to do for your fans. Oh and check out a creator of Flipnote Fantasy [too bad he stopped making flips]. and maybe ill see your flips.

I quit Flipnote Hatena after a month, but I stayed on Flipnote Studio. I still hope they make a 3DS version. If you don't like online Flipnote, simply go offline.

I`ve never used it, and all of them are crap. Even though I don`t understand them, I prefer watching Japanese ones. Great artists, they are.

Nintendo is still developing the Flipnote Application. But this time, they are setting up admins and the stealing issue. So for now on, you can download Flipnotes. But you can't upload them. Second, from what I heard from Nintendo community websites, the Hatena Company are setting up admins and giving them powers to the trustworthy people. If they are going to do this, I'll probably proceed on making Flipnotes. As for the old Hatena. All I can say it's a sad website. It's like you walking by a gang called, "The N00Bz". xD

I was going to send my dsi in to be fixed, but I checked hatena out on my friend's dsi and all I could find anywhere was anime... Nothing I like.... So I'm not getting it fixed.

Oh my gosh, when i got my DSi, i had to check out Flipnote Hatena! I went on and kinda sucked at making those pro animations such as Gizmo or BOSS but i did and still do have the single flipnote with the most stars! I think it reached 5 Million stars :B BOSS's highest sat at around 3M and Gizmo had just under that. That was my great Flipnote accomplishment.
I've since quit for the exact same reasons.

Hey guys, FH was GREAT! if you don't like the way it is, ignore it! look on the brightsides! Some ppl have stayed with us, like Anthony.. And plenty of others, if all we do is gripe and complain, we will never see the brightside. Who here likes making flips? YOU DO! so dont let other ppl ruin it! ignore them, ignore them, ignore them. Just watch flips. make flips. be happy. there is nothing anyone can do about it. nintendo is trying there hardest to make flipnote memo the way we always wanted FH to be.. so CHEER UP The pursuit to happiness.. Perfect example.. lets pursuit to flipnote memo, lets pursuit to the brightside of flipnote hatena! dont be simba, be obediant! you have all that nice land, but you go to the "shadowy parts".. so there! have a nice day!

I was one of those sprite artists there. I was one of the best. If anyone remembers Gizmo, BOSS, and the other good artists, they added me as a favorite creator. I quit once people started reporting my innocent notes. That was a year ago... Btw my username was PathFinder. Anyone heard about me?

I started going on flipnote hatena on my sister's dsi back in May 2011(Late chicken wing era). at first, i didnt know the difference between a REAL flip, and a stolen star-begging one. By July, i was becoming an expert at FH.

But as soon as I saw FH 2.5, I hated it. It wasn't the FH i met last summer. In this new one, an "I don't like this flipnote" button was made, and the MP was even worse. ALL the stolen and star-begging flips were gone, so, unfortunately, good flips stay on MP for less than a day. the channel list is harder to use.

One of the few things about 2.5 that made FH better is..... uh... um... i dunno, yet.

as soon i joined hatena all i saw was weegee and star beggers. now theres less of that, its still there, but less. Flipnot hetana needs to make it 1 star per person, then its just like views n its not as bad and its harder to star beg. the problem is no star limit, eh.
