In a world of war, peace, and confusion, it's sometimes hard to explain what it's all really about.

This blog is going to be the place where I gather my thoughts. Where I put all my ideas in one place. Maybe one day, it will be read by someone with similar opinions. If it is never seen by anyone but me, I will be okay with that. Because, I need a mirror to look into. To see my own reflection. This is my mirror... and the world's.

3/10/12 First Entry

When I look on the world in it's current state, I see too much. I can never just look at a car on the road without thinking about how ugly it is, what company made it, what idiot designed it, who's driving it, if they are talking on a cell phone or not, listening to an untalented music artist, worrying about going to a party with their friends. These things are what the world or at least, America, has become. Technology has changed us from a society into a network of media and commercialism. I am typing this on my 3DS, which, I think, is a very useful and fun piece of technology. But I am saddened by the world in it's current state of dependance on computers and cell phones. The way we are now, will shape the way our children are. They will grow up in a world where the next video game or the next movie with awesome CGI will be their only things to look forward to. I try to imagine a bright future full of possibility and imagination, but all I see is a fake copy of what really exists. We don't have a shiny world where everything works perfect for us. We don't have any superheroes to come save the day from an evil villain. But media and television will tell you that we are moving forward and that our future will be great if we just "save the planet" from various natural occurrences such as global warming, plate shifting, asteroids and meteors, and pollution. I think our real future will go one or both of two ways. One, we will realize that our state of life is not really all it's cracked up to be, and we will become more mature and realistic in our media, transportation, manufactoring, and sociality. Or, two, we don't realize anything. We keep going on down a dangerous road with a colorful blindfold on. We eventually take it off to see that we have fallen down a cliff. One that leads to war. Maybe war will take away the world's illusions. Maybe it will end it for good. I'm not saying war is inevitable, I'm saying that maybe war is what the world needs to get back up on it's feet again.

I'm going to stop here for now. I'm sure that something in this needs editing. I don't want to sound like a ranter, or a hypocrite. I'm just writing this for myself. And hoping that maybe someone will want to add to what I have said. Entry two will be later. I still have much more to say on the current state of the world, and my beliefs.
