"Are you ready for our anniversary?" Ella asked.
"Yes," I replied. "We've got reservations for the fanciest restaurant in all of New York."
"Excellent," Ella replied as she fastened her necklace.
We arrived at the restaurant, and their waiter directed them to their table.
"Greetings, sir and madam," the waiter greeted us and gave us menus. "Anything to start with?"
"We'll have a bottle of Cabaret," Ella answered.
"Excellent choice," the waiter said and went to get the bottle.
That's when I saw it. There was a little blue monster laying on the floor.
"Ella, look," I said, pointing at the monster.
"I don't see anything..." she replied.
"But..." I looked back at where it was, but the monster was gone. "But the monster was there just a second ago!"
"Darling, have you had too much to drink?" Ella asked, moving the wine bottle away from me.
"No. Oh, forget it..."
The waiter came back. "Are you ready to order?"
"Yes," Ella said, "I'll have the caesar salad."
"And I'll have the halibut," I added.
I saw the monster again, and said to Ella, "There it is! Over there!"
"We could leave. Do you want to leave?"
"It was right there! I saw it!" I stood up and pointed to it.
Ella looked at it and her eyes got wide. "Monster!" she shrieked and ran out of the restaurant.
"Wait! Come back!" I yelled and chased after her.
