A very, very long time ago, two twin cats were born into the royal family of a far-away nation...
(NOTE: Before the Vocaloid fans start telling me that this is officially part of 'Clockwork Lullaby' series instead of the Story of Evil series, let me just say that I consider this as part of BOTH series, like how Daughter of Evil was part of the Seven Deadly Sins series as Pride and part of the Story of Evil series.)

Solar awoke in a dark room painted black. He could neither see nor hear anyone, because was completely alone. Solar glanced up, however, and could see a large spring in the ceiling much like a spring one would find on a wind-up contraption. Suddenly, his ears were opened and a terribly familiar, ghastly voice started speaking to him.
"Your crimes are becoming old, boy. you are nowhere near me," it said. "It left from this room. It's gone."
At first, Solar was trying to place the owner of the voice when it all came back to him in one moment.
Spring. Spring come to haunt him. "She had come from the dead," Solar thought, very much afraid.
Recalling all of that, her death by Solar's own paws, his dear sister Lunar, his own execution in place of her...
"And the sin repeats," he whispered.
Solar then noticed that his two front paws had been bound by red shackles. "Surely," he thought, "someone has spilled the color of blood."
There were two shackles on his back paws, too, but these were a sad blue. "Surely," he thought again, "someone's tears are flowing."
Then a seemingly frail song came to him, on the wind that was not.
"Lu li la, lu li la," a voice sang. What was this voice? Another familiar one. Could it be...?
The lovely singing had now become his little lullaby as Solar decided he would spend his time here searching for a new spring to replace the old one above him. Then he heard a voice...
No, THE voice. The voice that slowly but surely began to heal Solar. The same lullaby now turned into a song that had a real meaning. New, sincere words had been added to it. And now, up above from the spring...
A tiny light from the north shone into the room.
"Yes..." Solar murmured as he rose to his paws. "Surely...You are sending a message to me!"
From the ceiling surrounding the spring came voices talking.
"'It's not that your sins aren't tolerated. But we will try to change those facts.'"
Suddenly, the red shackles fell off and Solar began to hear himself talk.
"'After this, you shall be reborn...'"
The blue shackles fell off now, and Solar started talking to a definite existence.
"'Today is your new birthday...'"
The room, the spring, everything became dyed with a brilliant white.
"Very soon," Solar called softly, grinning. "Very soon, we will meet again."

Solar fluttered his eyes open.
This time, trees. Four other presences.
A voice, a voice was speaking to him.
Solar lifted his head and found headphones over his ears.
Across from the tree he was leaning against was a green she-cat with a teal tie and black and pink headphones, a cobalt-furred male with a deep blue scarf, a crimson red female with a black earpiece, and...
"Wake up, sleepyhead!" Came the gentle, high voice of Lunar. His sister.
Tears began to form in Solar's eyes.
