the point of this game is to get to your opponent's flag and take it back to your tent. easy, right? wrong. it is very easy to die in this game. even with the support of teammates, a bomb, arrow, or enemy's shield coming down on your head can spell your death. you only have three hearts worth of health (2 if you're an archer), and every arrow or sword swipe takes one. being a builder allows you to create a tower or fortress for allies to fight from, but enemy builders can just as easily take down your carefully built outpost with a few hammer swipes and a couple of knights with bombs. arches can climb trees and fire at a distance to eliminate builders and knights safely, but enemies can cut trees down, dropping them into the fray and leaving them vulnerable. bombs and catapults can be bought and can change the tide of battle. you can also fling yourself into enemy territory with one! (flying knights FTW)
-okay, personal praise time.
I love playing this game in a match full of people. a 10 on 10 (or more!) match is hectic and fun. it also lets people build bigger and etter towers, as more people can build and more can fight. throwing bombs is fun and dangerous, as they can explode in your hands, but have a large radius, forcing people to move or block the explosion, leaving them vulnerable to a sword swipe or arrow. also, in the paid version, there are more workshops (as well as adding the keg to the bomb workshops), a day and night cycle, and FRIKIN' ZOMBIE SURVIVAL MODE!!!! the multiplayer version will be out soon; follow the news feed at kagdev.tumblr.com.
-the full version will be $12.50 when zombies multiplayer comes out, but I believe it is still only $9.99 as of now. the free version is still amazing; you just don't get access to things like zombies or other game modes that will come out (it's still in alpha). get on it!
-p.s. forgot to talk about the destruction engine...well, you'll see.
