My Niece Needs [color=red]YOU[/color] Updated

Update 4/29/12: As of right now, Torri has to go see an eye specialist. They believe she might have been suffocated or someone rolled over her because of the amount of pressure applied to her eyes. But other then that, she's doing alright today & she's her usual happy baby self. It's seeing the bruises that get to you.

Yet again, I'm lying here worried, sad, angry...writing a blog, asking for your prayers (if you pray), or even to keep her in your thoughts if you don't pray.
For the last month this woman has been watching my niece. this morning, my sister called me from the Emergency Room in tears. She told me the woman called her saying Torri was having an allergic reaction to sweet potatoes. This woman beat my niece. When she was confronted about the bruises, the woman tried to say another child, who's only 3 years old did it. My niece is only 11 weeks old. She has 2 black eyes & might go blind in her left eye due to the trauma. She might have a broken nose. Dr's at the hospital said she isn't showing signs of brain damage, but she does have Shaken Baby Sybnrome to a deree. They're certain that she was punched, choked, shaken, & dropped. I went to the hospital to see my sister & the baby. Does it sound like damage a 3 year old child can do? If it weren't for Torri being so smily, I would have cried. That poor baby looks like she's been in a brawl. She has bruises all over her head, nose, & eyes. She has to se a specialist & stay in the hospital over night & they already have evidence that my this woman &/or her husband hurt her. Please, when you go to bed tonight, keep baby Torri in your thoughts? She's only 11 weeks old & doesn't deserve this happening to her.

That woman has done something so horrid I can't describe it!I will pray for Torri and pray that that woman gets what's coming to her (fall down a waterfall into rocks then, fall into a volcano where all the lava and magma goes up her butt and then she blows up into over 9000 10000000000000000000000001 year old hotdogs then, those hotdogs fall into hell).

This isn't something I needed to read today, but did anyway. Although I knew where it was going. All your blogs usually end with me in either a terrible mood or less than happy.
Oh well. My choice.

I suppose if God knows best, what's best will happen.

Is this woman even a registered/train babysitter?

A background check should have been made. Trying to transfer the blame to another child is just pathetic.

Even if the woman miraculously escapes conviction, her life is over. Good luck finding friends, or a job for that matter.

She`ll be making license plates in chains, mark my words. Or, a gang will bleed her. The top rule of any gang is to not harm children.

Im sorry to hear this, but in fact this is all to familiar. My older sister and I were both physically abused also when we were younger. I am very sorry for your trouble and do hope that she gets better.

Thank you for your support, it means a lot to us. She s slowly getting better. It's nt going to be an easy road to travel down, but while I'm still angry, I'm a bit calmer then I was.

Normally I would make a sarcastic remark, probably involving Casey Anthony, but this is too heinous. Imagine the worst punishment you can that doesn't cause death, then about 30 others. Not enough for what this vile woman has done. I don't want her to be put to death; that'd be too good for her. I don't pray, but I will imagine her gettung better and tell my friends to do so as well. Who would do such a horrible thing to such an innocent, helpless creature. I'll get you, vile woman; and your little husband too! I feel so bad, knowing that I can't help.

I don't really care on the subject of religion, but I will keep Torri in my thoughts.
As for the woman:
She must be seriously messed up.
I mean SERIOUSLY.

It's great to hear Torri's being her happy baby self, and giggling when you tickle her (), but when someone beats your baby, that's something that sticks, forever.

I somehow... Got blown back at all this. Now, I feel sorry for the baby. The woman? You can be angry but, do not wish to kill. And for a atheist to pray? Whoa. And I'm praying.

Awwwww, how terrible... D: Poor Torri... :c I will pray for her , Astra. What kind of cruel, heartless person would do such a thing to such a young child? That's just disgusting... Absolutley dispicable. I hope that Torri has a fast recovery and she will be in my thoughts.

Most of our town want to beat her down. You wouldn't be the only person, trust me. Everyone is saying that if she isn't arrested soon, the police will have nothing to worry about but finding a body. And most of the people saying this are crazy enough to carry out that promise!

The only thing I can think is that this woman/her husband must be disturbed. They should
a) get help
and
b) be placed somewhere where they can no longer hurt anybody else or themselves.
This is truly nothing short of horrible. Nothing but best wishes for your niece.

The woman was taking care of my siater's friends son also & she saw that the boy actually liked her & was well taken care of. But, the boy is 3, he's easily occupied with a toy. My sister realizes that it's the reason the boy wasn't ever hurt & Torri, being only a newborn was.

This is just unbelievable.
Yet it has to be believed.
I've seen abuse to babies first-hand, as my parents used to do foster care and take such babies as Torri in.
(When I say like her, I mean with similar injuries caused by parents; I realize that in Torri's case it was the woman watching her.)
