Hello HD admins!=20
I just swept the HelpDesk today, for the first time in a month or two.=20
Aside from the multiple duplicated questions (and a few non-website related)=
, I have noticed a few of the admin responses, to quote a few;
"I don't know",
"I'll leave this open for Hull"
And so on.=20

Guys, being an HD admin means you SOLVE questions. Not reply to them (unless=
they specifically request to be). Anybody can type "I don't know". Call me O=
CD, but it bothers me to pieces when you do this.=20

As an HD admin, you are required to solve questions a member might have a pr=
oblem or suggestion about. If it is a new feature, then a positive feedback w=
ould be exceptional and well appreciated by the asker. But on a problem or b=
ug report, if you can't answer or solve it, then leave it for someone else. S=
aying "I'll leave this open for Hull" doesn't make HB read it faster.=20

However, if you have a theory (but not a fix) on a problem, you are welcome t=
o share it.=20

On stupid, pointless, off-subject, or duplicated questions, simply mark as "=
Duplicated" or delete it. A peanut-gallery comment is not needed.=20

I'm not trying to ridicule anybody, or force people to be someone they're no=
t, this is more like suggestive reading on how to be a proper HD admin.=20

Mine the HD admins barley do anything they say like thats stupid or not the site for that its time to put a stop to this maddness

Lol what the HD admins dont realise, is its THERE JOB. So what noobs ask stupid questions! if they do, ok fine, say its in the FAQ or whatever. people are just showing their suggestions or problems they have and the admins keep on ignoring them or resolving them. The fact is, its your job and no mattter how hard it is, you gotta do it right. stop being lazy and start making a difference to the site. The HD admins used to be great. Shame new people were hired.

Do you realize how many of the same questions on the help desk that are asked can be answered by simply looking at the FAQ on the same page as the one you ask the questions on?

I agree with your blog. I understand that you want to make sure everyone's questions or concerns are addressed but "I don't know" isn't an answer. DSiPaint members at the Helpdesk are looking for answers. If an admin doesn't know the answer, then ask HullBreach but no response is needed unless the question is asked repeatedly.

I'm not trying to fight, but some things you need to look at from another point of view. Some days we get a lot of questions and I try to answer them as soon as I can. I don't like seeing questions with 0 responses. I try to give it an answer so that members at least know that someone is reading their questions. I've seen a lot of complaints before with members who say that their question took too long to reply to. I often come back to posts that I have not solved if I have an answer. I reply to the ones I don't know so that I can visibally see the ones that still need answers. If I know the answer, I answer it and resolve it. I do this every day, unlike most of the HelpDesk admins. When I say "I'll leave this open for Hull" that means "I understand there is a bug. I will contact Hull and leave this open for reference." I usually contact Hull about bug reports so that they can be recognized as soon as possible. There is no "proper HD admin", there are different styles that some people might use. I'm not trying to argue, I'm just inputting my point of view.

Agreed xD just makes me laugh xD

i hate when my help desk question is resolved wothout answering too -.- the only personvwho answers it properly is HB. but whats the point if hes the only one? i mean he hired the admins to do it for a reason -.- he basicly hired people that know nothing about how the website works.

I've actually seen A LOT of questions gone unanswered and just straight to being resolved without any response or anything.

I don't mind the "I don't knows" as much as I hate resolving things that were not resolved.

A certain helpdesk admin constantly resolves my various posts, without them even being resolved. It ticks me off. Then when I repost it because my problem was still not resolved, they mark it as a duplicate question.
