Nintendo Press Conference (Tuesday 05/06)

The conference started right off with the humorous announcement of Pikmin 3, for the Wii U. Shigeru Miyamoto opened the stage, and explained Pikmin 3. The game seems to not have changed too much from previous versions. The graphics are better and the Wii U gamepad is used to control the game with precision and quick movements, new kinds of Pikmins will be available.

Mr. Miyamoto teasingly menaces to throw the red Pikmin plush he was carrying, but didn't do it and then unleashes an evil smile resultant of the trolling, then proceds to leave the stage.

Nintendo then explained Miiverse, the new way to connect players in Nintendo systems, it will feature Tweet like messages, in and off games. Family, friends and internet strangers will share them. You will also be able to exchange doodles. The messages will be delivered according to the games senders have in common, you will also be able to check these online from any browser from any device, the service will be available for the Nintendo 3DS too. Miiverse is not only about sharing gaming experiences inside games, it will also be part of the Wii U menu.

The system will be checked automatically trough rigid profanity filters, and checked manually by operators. Nintendo expects a delay of at maximum 30 minutes when this happens, depending of the message traffic. Users will also be able to flag suspicious messages, submitting them to be reviewed in the process.

Many other important announcements happened, Wii Fit U being one of them. The concept was demonstrated with a series of trailers.

New Super Mario Brothers 2 U was detailed, and will bring a brand new co-operative gameplay mode up to 4 players, the game also features Yoshis of all colors, each with its own ability. The game seems to be as lively and sharp as ever, now in HD of course.

Nintendo demonstrated live, Just Dance 4 from ubisoft, for the Nintendo Wii and Wii U, the next-gen console will have exclusive features, the "Puppet Master" game mode being one of them.

A gameplay trailer of ZombiU was shown, its debatable it was the game that induced the strongest positive reaction of the crowd.

Nintendo then proceded to end their E3 press event with the announcement of NintendoLand and a deeper look into the social concept of the game, as well as a discussion of how the game is supposed to show off the many uses of the Wii U gamepad in gameplay. Remembers Wii Sports, which introduced motion gaming to many people.


The event ended with fire works from the NintendoLand park.

Nintendo 3DS Software Showcase Event (Wednesday 06/06)

This time who hosted the event was Nintendo's Marketing Director, Reggie took a place between the crowd and watched the presentation.

The event started with Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. and Konami's vampire hunting game, CastleVania: Mirrors of Fate. The game seems promising, going by a hybrid game engine, revealing detailed 3D environments and character models while maintaining the original platform gameplay, typical of CastleVania games.

Then there was a live and lengthy demo for Paper Mario, demonstrating new features and charming graphics of the franchise, followed by New Super Mario Brothers 2. The new 2D mario game goes by the concept of collecting as many coins as quickly as possible, and features a 2 player local co-operative mode, it was demonstrated live.

They let fans know the american release date for the much waited Disney crossover franchise, Kingdom Hearts DDD, 31/07/2012, played a trailer, and proceded to announce that a demo is coming soon. Demos for Heroes of Ruin, and other 2 games will also be coming to the American eShop.

The event had no mentions of Animal Crossing or Fire Emblem: Awakening, whoever, Reggie hosted shortly after a Nintendo Direct leaving clear that Fire Emblem: Awakening will be coming to America, and will also be available for download, just like New Super Mario bros. 2. Online, the disappointment that Animal Crossing was not even mentioned was evident, and had repercussion trough live blogs, gaming sites, and Nintendo's facebook.
