I remember clearly what happened. Though only a nightmare, I felt violated in reality. I remember the pain, running up and down my spine, the screaming, the agonizing sound from my own cries of pain.
I was at a pawn shop, down in Arkansas City (pronounced "R-kansas" browsing for an item I've been searching for a long time, even in real life.
I remember... The shop had a large window on the front, the door was just to the left of it. There was a few platform steps ahead of the window, and on the platform, there was a large table full of merchandise. Below the steps, there was the checkout table to the left of them.
An old lady ran the store. She was around her late 70's.
After I found what I was looking for, she pulled me aside firmly, and scolded me.
I don't quite remember what she said, but I do remember being knocked out and waking up on a cold examination table.
I sat up. The only thing I had on was a backward gown.
The room was cold, and constructed with tile. Blue and white tiles mixed together.
A man in a green mask entered the room, and told me not to be frightened.
Behind him, he wheeled in an IV post with a large silver bag of fluid, and a tray with IV tubes, small pump, and to my horror, a large needle. It was as large as a carpenter nail, and as long as an unsharpened pencil.
He told me to sit on the side of the table with my back bent, I did.
Then he proceeded to sanitize the lower part of my spine, just above the hips.
First he injected me with a stinging liquid to numb my skin.
After a few minutes, he took the large needle and pushed it through my skin, and into my spinal cord.
It didn't hurt that bad at first. It was quite uncomfortable to feel the needle being worked through the spine, but other than a little sting afterwords, it didn't hurt.
He told me to lay down gently, with my back still curved, as to not pinch the needle. I did.
He hooked up the tubes, preparing the IV.
I was just starting to relax when he turned the IV flow on...
The pain hit me instantly. The last thing I herd was him telling me not to move. I couldn't even if I tried. The pain was too great, it shot through my entire body at once. I yelled in agony as it continued to get worse, the pain was like a brain freeze that went down to my tailbone.
I yelled until I couldn't yell anymore, wore out and weakened by the pain.
I saw hallucinations.
Someone had entered the emergency chemical shower in the corner, also screaming. As he turned on the water, I saw him melt away down the drain.
More scary images filled my head. A constant noise was getting louder and louder. Then everything started to fade into a bright whiteout until everything was white.

I awaken in my bed, out of the dream, unable to move my lower body. There was a tingling sensation on my arms and legs. They must have fallen asleep.
I also had a severe back pain in my lower back
Dude, what is making you have these dreams? Try drinking warm milk and turning down the thermostat about 5 degrees, and leave the dooer open. It is also good to have a dim light in the room to prevent night terrors.
Yes, the state is pronounced that way.
But there is a city in Kansas called Arkansas City. And it is pronounced "R-Kansas".
Trust me, you'll get laughed at there if you pronounce it the other way.
