Hello, this is my first movie review ever so I'm going to try to keep it short. There are no spoilers.

I, unlike many other people I know really wanted to see the new Spiderman movie. Everybody else kept complaining that it was a reboot and that it's not the same guy. Here's the thing: There are so many reasons why a reboot was needed. Toby Macguire does not fit the part of Peter Parker. Spiderman 3's ending sucked. There's no way to continue the movies without making up even more stuff that doesn't even fit with Spiderman.

This new movie was so much better than the previous ones. I think the actor they chose for Peter Parker was almost perfect. The setting they chose felt very grounded and real. When sad parts happened, you really felt for the characters. The action was intense and the camerawork seemed like they took a lot of work to pull off.

I think the end of the movie was perfect. It gave me the feeling of pride and inspiration. It also left tons of room for sequels. The game happens to take place after the movie, so it's pretty much a sequel. All in all, The Amazing Spider-man gets a 5 out of 5 from me. The story stayed true to the comics for the most part, and it gripped me unlike other movies. I can't wait to see more.
