"Thanks for stating obvious pal. I mean psh, I thought the red stuff gushing from the hole in my shoulder was ketchup."
"What's ketchup...?"
"Something that hasn't been invented yet but will be in a few centuries."
"Oh... Okay..."
TB bit his lip and ran his fingers through his matted hair. He knew Kyler wasn't going to make it through the night with a nasty gnash like that in his shoulder. Sure, they could stop the bleeding, but the wound itself could get infected without being properly closed up.
"He needs to be taken to Epifex."
"HOLY CRAP!"
TB nearly jumped out of skin as he heard a small, blunt voice behind him. He whirled around to see a small, knee-high person in green and crimson standing with her arms crossed behind him.
"SENIN! SENIN DEAR SISTER, I SEEM TO BE RATHER STUCK!"
TB looked up at a tree branch above him to see another small person, apparently a male, dangling by his underwear.
"That's not my problem Rainin. You got up there you can get down."
"No erm, actually dearest sister, you got me up, remember?"
TB was looking from little person to little person, then hesitantly reached up and unstuck the one in the tree since his apparent sister wasn't going to assist him.
"Oh good grief, that's the worst wedgie I've had in my life!"
The male little person straightened his pants and let out a gasp of relief. His sister rolled her eyes.
"Who ARE you...?"
"I'm Senin, and he's Rainin. We're woodland elves. And you're friend over there just passed out."
"ACK! KYLER!"
Senin marched over to TB, who was now picking up Kyler, her brother meekly following her.
"I SAID, he needs to be taken to Epifex."
"Who's Epifex...?"
"You ask a lot of questions. He's someone who can heal your friend. Now let's go."
So Senin, Rainin, TB and Kyler hurried off into the darkening woods, headed towards to the abode of the mysterious Epifex.
