Tonight will be the launch of TMJ Demo 7, which is an early 1-player battle engine. I've tried to pack as much as I could into the demo, code-wise, and Arch_enemy has been working hard on sprites. There will be some last minute tweaks to the demo before launch, but here is now it stands at the moment:

- The queuing system for fighters is in place
- The menu allows selecting Fight, Magics, Items, and Evade
-- "Fight" lets the player pick the target enemy
-- "Magics" loads a list of proposed magics by Arch_Enemy
-- "Items" loads all the player's "gifts" from Old Man Skunk
-- "Evade" allows characters to run from battle.
- When an action is taken, the status bar display that action
- Characters animate when fighting
- Enemies step forward when fighting
- 1-3 Characters randomly load for battle
- 1-3 Enemies randomly load for battle

I was hoping to get damage calculations and other features ready, but I've been fighting a sinus infection for several days, and that he prevented me from sitting at my computer for long periods. Once the demo is released, updates will continue to be made to it, as is evolves into the final battle engine.

One other thing of importance is that I have not made a DSi version of it yet, and it may not be possible to do so. Some portions of the animation are barely a passable speed on the 3DS browser, so I don't know how the DSi browser would handle the final engine. I will continue to push for speed, in hopes that the DSi will be able to run it (since 2/3 of visitors to the community use the DSi). There is also the issue of the DSi not handling real-time generation of buttons (as noticed with the enhanced messaging), so that could be an issue. I will run some tests on my DSi and report the findings at launch time. I will also run some tests on the Wii's Internet Channel to see if the demo will be runnable there.
