Let me tell you about a girl who loved everything. We'll call her Ella. What Ella loved, was life, but what Ella loved more than her life, was her first ever boyfriend, we'll call him Justin. This is their story.
Ella looked down at her airplane ticket, and tried to hold her tears back. The tickets arrived by mail, and to Ella they seemed like death. Her five year old sister, Jane, snactched the tickets from Ella.
"Moma! Ella brought the tickets in for us!" Jane announced as she skipped to her mothers room. A haze of tears were quickly blinked back as Ella's phone went off.
The screen read "Magic Justin" and Ella quickly answered.
"Hello?" Ella squeeked into the phone as a trail of warm salty tears moved down her right cheek. "Tell me the tickets didn't arrive baby." was Justin's reply.
"They did, boo. And they changed my flight too." Ella did her best to pull herself togeather.
"Baby, I'll be there in an hour. Meet me at the spider tree baby."
"You know I can't climb trees!" Ella protested, Justin knew Ella was a city girl more than country one. "I know full and well you don't," Justin snapped "but things need to be said.
An hour later, Ella found herself on the lowest tree branch, looking in Justin's eyes as he edged towards the tree. "Jump." Justin told Ella. That's all he had to say. Ella felt a brief, but addicting rush of adrenaline as she jumped and landed in Justin's arms.
But Ella's heart sank as Justin said the words she never wanted to hear, ever. "I know you're leaving June first and I'm leaving tomorrow so it's over. I mean, you're going to Japan and I'm going to Texas."
Ella's heart seemed to be ripped out of her as Justin set her down, turned, and walked away from her. Ella whipered his name and a bit of hope entered her as Justin turned back to her.
"I'm sorry, I can't do it, trust me," he said as he looked at the ground "I love you, is it really so hard to ask for you to at least try?" Justin turned away from Ella again and said "No I'm sorry bye." and she watched as he left.
Ella curled up in a ball, then heartbroken, finally let every tear she had fall for the love of her life.
