AC3! AC3! AC3!

Yes folks, you've read it. The next game in the Assassin's Creed series has come out today! So all of you murderers fans better have it already.



As many of you must know, the newest assassin that Desmond goes as in the series is native American Connor Kenway, with the previous being Ezio Auditore da Firenze. The story takes place in the American Revolution, with Connor fighting with the patriots. IGN has hinted that Connor won't be the only person you play as. How exciting.

Graphics
Okay, having seen the Assassin's Creed graphics in previous games and all the walkthroughs online, you can tell that this is going to have a high rating. They focus on every detail, from the inside of a small apartment in Boston to the naval ship and the ocean. They put so much detail into a random stranger walking on the streets that you'd think they were the main character. I can't really find anything negative to say in this category, so...

Storyline
Now that Desmond has come out of his coma, he is ready to re enter the Animus. He finds himself following the path of Native American Connor Kenway through the American Revolution. In Assassin's Creed 3, unlike most other AC games, they give you so much freedom. You don't have to go through with the regular story. You can explore through many different countries and do side missions as well, like collecting almanac pages and saving a woman's husband from loyalists (as seen in the Boston walkthrough) Though, as it's still AC, there are those times when you're limited to just viewing and your movements are controlled by the game.

Gameplay
This is a straight up success. They have simplified all those things you love, like free running, and have added more freedom. You can run up trees, jump through monkey bars, run through rooms in buildings, captain a naval ship, and of course the highly praised 'skydiving'. The controls are the same as it's predecessors, and you can now use the enemy's weapons against them. Connor's main weapon is his axe, but he also has many others, including the most famous weapon at the time, the musket. You can also blend with commoners and hide behind walls and all those other goodies. The only negative thing that has been nagging me since the first AC game is the flow of his kills. In the trailer, especially this year's E3 trailer, the flow was so perfect you couldn't help but be excited. But in the actual game, it's not as nice as it seems.

Online Capabilities
As usual, AC3 will have an online function, the most popular mode usually being Deathmatch. There are always many people online to play with. What happens is you are assigned a target and a pursuer, and your job is to find your target and, well, assassinate them. While trying not to be killed by your pursuer, of course. I find playing online not nearly as enticing and fun as the story mode, and many other people agree. I also find that it's not as good as it should be, so...

Aside from PS3 and Xbox, this game will also be coming out on the Wii U. PS Vita will also have their own version of AC3, titled Assassin's Creed: Liberation, with one of the main antagonists being a female assassin. I hope that it is not as horrible as Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines on the PSP. Geez, that was a really horrible game.
