Return of Sackboy!

You've read it- our dearest friend Sackboy has returned! The star of LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2 has come to show us what's new and coming on November 6. Hearing about it, I immediately came to the conclusion that if it's not 'what's in' among the amigos then it must be a pretty bad game... Well, here I am to prove myself wrong! ...Or right?

We have Midnight Club, Need For Speed, ModNation Racers, but what don't we have? LittleBigPlanet Karting! A sack driving a kart is just what we need! How do sacks drive? Good question. Let's ask United Front Games.

The game will give you the freedom in letting you create/customize karts, your Sackboy, create maps, and even share them over PlayStation Network. LBP Karting will have 'adventurous karting expeditions' and will include boss battles, objective based missions, and mini games!

LBP Karting supports three player maximum splitscreen. Only three players is poor, as most games in general prove four player max. splitscreen. Online gameplay parties hold a maximum of 8 players, though, and if the online mode is anywhere as addicting as ModNation Racers', I can assure you it will be worth the buy.

Like Mario Kart and ModNation Racers, along the way you can pick up projectile like weapons to fire at your opponents. Sacks will also have the grappling hook thing, used to get to elevated surfaces and shortcuts. And the highly praised and most lethal weapon in all of the LBPs... the slap! The slap has also been integrated into the game, for when you need to teach them some manners... virtually!

LBP Karting will have lots more types of races to play, unlike the stereotypical racing game. Modes like Battle Mode, Waypoint Races, Treasure Hunts, Score Attacks, and more have been announced.

And yes, you've guessed it (probably not), the game will be PS Move compatible! The PS Move controller will be used like a steering wheel, much like Mario Kart. But the best news of all.... the game will be 3D capable!

LittleBigPlanet Karting is only being released for the PlayStation 3, and they have no current intentions of making a PS Vita version.
