Chatroom Name Aliasing By HullBreach

A new feature has been added to the chatrooms: Name aliasing!

Let me tell you a little about it. To change your name, use the following command:

/alias [Name]
(ex. "/alias Mr. Rogers"

To restore your name, use the following command:

/alias

Any aliased names will be prefixed with a hyphen (to prevent spoofing), and clicking on any such names in the chat pane will show the regular profile for that member without aliasing.

Aliased names will hold for that browser session, so you can jump between chatrooms with aliases intact.

These should add a little bit of fun for regular chats and for RP chatrooms, but anything that gets out-of-hand will be met with the admin banhammers and kickboots.

We're going to have to establish some kind of limit or set rules because the chatrooms have been going crazy since it was set, or we can wait until the hype dies.

I was just bombarded by false members in Chatroom Mario.

Wish I had read this first. ;-;

Very fun, but nothing new since I've been using 'Cade. Granted, totally different tasks between the two, in terms of actually implementing it. Good work.

I like this idea very much. If I ever use it, All my name will change to will be something like "Hexi-D" or something. I see huge potential in trolling new members who don't know of this though. Someone in the Chatroom aliases themself as HullBreach, and everyone else would play along and act as if Hull were actually in the chatroom. I think it might work on new members who have just joined, and know nothing about the site.
