Wow. Did you notice that all my Tips and Tricks guide have two sets of colons? I just noticed. Anyways, today we'll be doing, "Goldeneye: 007." The game is basically Call of Duty, but implements stealth, creativity, and quick thinking instead of, "O LOK, I SE PPL. PEW PEW PEW. NEWB TUBE!" But yes, this game has a noob tube. Anyways, if you're reading this, Gleeok, submit this into your grand archive thingy if you want. Also, thanks for the support, Waffle, Ban, and Glee, as you're the only ones who comment on my blogs. So, I'll be going over how to be a ninja in Campaign, how to be a Double 'O Agent in Multiplayer, and basically, how to kick bad accented NPC's asses. Shall we get started, my friends?
General:
-Stealth always helps. Crouching helps in a lot of situations, from fighting Russians to murdering online noobs. It'll keep you off the radar, allowing you to save ammo with stealth melee attacks.
-Think before you act, but think quickly, because you might lose the chance to act.
-Learn from your mistakes. If you keep getting spotted because someone always patrols on the path you're on, go a different way or kill him silently.
-Go for headshots. They're 1 hit kills and are your only option with a pistol.
-Pistols, use them as a last resort if you don't have a silencer. They are weak, but you reload faster than the wind.
-Silencers negativley affect your range and damage, but positively affect your stealth and accuracy.
Story Mode/Campaign:
-CROUCH AT ALL TIMES. Getting spotted sucks, bro. People will hear you if you run or walk, so crouch.
-Silencers. Use them. At every. Single. Possible. Moment.
-Stealth is the mission. Use the Standard-Issue P99 (Although Bond actually uses the Walther PK9 in Goldeneye. Well, that's what you get for slapping Craig's face on a Brosnan movie) with silencer at all times. Avoid getting spotted, as you will probably die in the firefight because reinforcements come every 3 seconds.
-If there's only one person that doesn't see you, go for the melee. If there's two, don't melee, because the second one will notice your 5 second long stealth kill, but instead, headshot one, and use 3 shots on the other. Groups of more than 3 should be avoided.
-Never say never. A big open space with enemies everwhere? There's still a way without getting into a firefight, just think. Sometimes you have to hack a turret, others you might have to crawl into a vent. I've beaten the game without getting into a firefight other than the mandatory ones.
Multiplayer:
-Oddjob throws his hat instead of a frag grenade.
-Certain maps call for certain guns. Will be explained later.
-Bio Booster and Reactive Armor=Invincible
-Bio Booster and Reactive Armor and Masterson=God
-Use smoke grenades if you go to an area where lots of enemies are camping.
-You spawn next to an ally. Take advantage of that.
-Watch out for HAX0RS. And the game gets laggy at times. Just leave.
-Leveling up is super hard.
-Use your preset loadouts, they're good.
-Camping is of no use, as experienced players know where the spots are.
Maps and Good Preset Loadouts:
Archives:
Shotgun and Close Quarters
Why: The shotgun's smoke grenades will help a lot in the small areas and closed hallways. The Close Quarters because... well, its a small, closed area mostly.
Sewers:
Nobody even votes for Sewers on Multiplayer, god.
Jungle:
Sniper and Assault
Why: There are some good sniping spots and Assault gives you some good damage at high ranges.
Facility:
Close Quarters and Assault
Whynemies will be found both at long ranges and close, best to work as a team.
Memorial:
Sniper
Why:The map consists of sniping spots. Nothing. Else. Wanna go out into the open, you'll be dead in a second
Nightclub:
SMG and Shotgun
Why:Not many long ranged places. SMG will help at medium range, and Shotgun will help you camp in that green area with the TV, where everyone camps.
Outpost:
Sniper and SMG
Why:Lots of sniping places, and when you're in the field, the SMG is good for both long and medium range.
Docks:
Shotgun and SMG
Why: Out on the field, shotgun will help most, but when guarding or seiging that camping spot with the upside-down boat, use a SMG.
That's all for now. I'll probably do Mario Kart Wii, next. I don't have MK7 yet. D:
