This Sunday, I will be getting a Mac Mini so that I can begin developing the app for our "Society of Dualscreen Kin" (as it will be called).
The app will be compatible with the iPhone and iPod Touch. iPads and iPad Minis will initially run the iPhone version, but I may make an iPad-specific version at a later time. There will be two flavors of the app: Free (with a single iAd banner at the footer) and Pro ($0.99 with no ads). Anyone who gets the app will receive 10 Savii bucks after installation.
To interface this app with the database, I will be creating an API, like what FaceBook, Twitter, and other social websites, use to allow third-parties to access them. This API will be open for developers of other websites to develop their own Web apps or websites that can tie into this community. (If someone would like to make an Android app, this API will be made available for that, as well.)
Concerning the iOS app, I will release content in stages, prioritizing obvious necessities, like login, profile editing, messaging, and push alerts. Blogs are fairly high on the list, too.
If I plan to release new versions every couple months, what would everyone like to see prioritized for the earliest versions?
Awesome! I'll do beta testing if you want me to on my iPad 1 on iOS 5.1.1
features that I would prefer to come soon are messages, chats, image uploads, and blogs, but apparently chats and blogs are the difficult ones to implement? I'll be happy with whatever comes out.
Since I don't have access to a credit card I'll get the free version with ad's. How do those give you money? When people click the ads or just as they have them?
Deutschland, it's a single Ad on the footer. You're not gonna notice it. Infact you should be glad about this because most people don't care about the community they build and just want money.
Like most those view-begging Youtubers. Or even on Blogspots.

Coming from an iPhone user, I think you should add a photo uploader. Like EVERY other network. AND, I think the free one shoukd have no ads. And plus, I know how to get paids apps free. but anyways... Anyways, make it just like this site:-]

Like I said earlier; I am investing about $900 into this, just to make the app. I need to recoup the costs. I would hope that nobody would steal the app, when I do plan to have a free version.

Why does it matter? Its just a tiny ad at the bottom of the screen. I don't even care about the ad, I'm just getting the Pro one to support and regain the $900 lost for the app.
Also, the 10 Savii points is only for the Pro app download, right?

I see, Hull, make sure the app doesn't have no dumb ads... And, when you get your mac, order a mini fan with it. And unscrew the mac and place it in. Or buy a little stand alone fan, witch works pretty good. Just saying this because if you leave you Apple Computers on, for a long time, they will crash. And trust me I know.I have three macs i n my house, always crasing if I leavethem on for a long time. So don't. And make sure you fully update your mac. Non full updated Macs, some apps wont work.
Lol. iPods, iPhones, and iPads were already able to access DSiPaint and other establishments... Why the specifics?

Native apps can be much faster, since they don't have to load all the content over the Internet each time you change a page.
Also, they allow for better offline storage. For instance, you can write and save a blog, and it will automatically upload when you get an Internet connection.
Push alerts are another great feature that are not possible on all browser and can only be done in browsers if there is a persistent connection to the server. You can get an alert that says something like "You just received messages from Waffle King and Mystical Zoey." - even when the app is closed.
You can sync your friend list with your device's contact list
The list goes on and on.

Ah... Okay... The alert system I have mixed feelings about but everything else is alright. Thank you. x]
Overlords and Chatmods should be able to download the app free lol
Y U NO FREE?!
Other than that, it all sounds pretty good to me. I would like to see the creating a Savii ability on the iPod App as well.

If it didn't cost $800 for the computer and $100 for the yearly developer fee, I'd give the app away for free.

I honestly don't know why you included a free version to begin with. iDevices could already access SDK anyway, that was their free version. 99¢ for a specially made app is not asking for much, and I'm sure you could use the money.
