Do you have pesky siblings or friends that go through your stuff? Do your siblings take your money? If they do and you’re tired of constantly finding new hiding spots, then use these ideas. These are fairly easy ways you can turn basic household items that you don’t use or are broken items into great hiding spots. Most people would not think to look there.
The first idea is pretty simple. However, I would not recommend younger people to use this method, as they could get hurt. Getting hurt is unlikely, but just to be sure, use extreme caution. The method is the old hollowed out book.
First gather what you need:
1. An old book (try to get a hardcover book with blank pages so you don’t ruin a good book)
2. Glue (craft glue is highly recommended, stay away from super glue as it is too stickly and tends to clump)
3. Sharp scissors or a knife(use an X-Acto knife with caution)
4. Ruler
5. Pencil
Here are the steps:
1. First select a chapter or two if they are short and protect those pages with something like foil or plastic wrap. You don’t want those pages to be messed up with glue.
2. Mix the glue with some water(70% glue and 30% water so it is clearer)
3. Press the other pages down and glue the edges (not too much, you don’t want any dripping to occur)
4. Place something between the unglued and glued pages (plastic may work well)
5. Close the book and put something like a very heavy book on top for 30 minutes or more
6. Then check how well the pages are stuck and add more glue if the pages seem loose (then do step 5 again so the new coat dries)
7. When the pages do dry open the book up.
8. Draw a ½” margin on all 4 sides
9. Use the ruler and cut the first few pages
10. Then cut the rest (cut just a few at a time)
11. Stop cutting when you get to your preferred level of deepness
12. Glue the inside of the cut pages with the glue mixture
13. Then close the book with no plastic and add the heavy book on top
14. When it has been under the book for 30 minutes, open it and let it air out.
There you have it!
The next method is one you’ve probably never heard of before. It’s a hollowed out calculator. I tried this the other day, and it does work! You don’t need much for this one, and it’s actually quite simple compared to the former.
First gather what you need:
1. A calculator (preferably one that is broken and has rubber buttons)
2. Small screwdriver (I used a Phillips that I made, but any other screwdriver that is small enough will work too)
3. Tape (I actually used the tape that was in the calculator as I didn’t have any, but please do invest in scotch tape)
4. Paper or a sheet of plastic
5. Scissors
6. Thumbtack
Here are the steps:
1. Flip the calculator over and take out the screws (be careful not to lose them as they are quite small and easy to lose)
2. Make sure the calculator is not too old and does not have damaged screws (I tried this on too calculators and one had a damaged screw, so it did not work the second time)
3. After you take the back off, remove the circuit board and other components
4. Remove the rubber keypad and put it aside
5. There should be nothing in the front part of the calculator
6. Trace around the keypad and cut it out (put this aside as well)
7. You can dispose of the circuit board but not the screen
8. Many calculator have small plastic prongs in them so the keyboard stays in place
9. The keyboard will probably have holes that match these prongs, so place the keyboard on the paper and color the holes
10. Use the thumbtack to make the primary holes in the paper, then places it on the prongs to make them large enough
11. Place the keyboard back in the correct position, and place the paper on top
12. Use tape to keep everything in place
13. Place the screen in the rectangular hole and attach tape to the back so it’s taped to the paper
14. The keyboard should not move, and there should be no areas where light can get in
15. If light can get in, make some readjustments
16. Place whatever you like inside (there’s not a lot of room so try money)
17. Put the back on and screw it up, then place the calculator where you like (try a junk drawer in your bedroom)
Warning! Do NOT use these methods for hiding illegal contrabands! Just use it to keep your money away from your siblings!
Oh do i ever have a sibling who likes to take and look through my things,It's called my eighteen year old brother. He owes me over $30 but he won't admit it.It sucks though cause the tips u gave I'm not allowed to do cause they WILL still find it,But thnx anyway.

Try the calculator method. If it's a broken one that's yours that is. Then put it in a random drawer. The only way they'd be able to open it, is if they found the right sized screwdriver, so keep it seperate from the calculator.
