I has been a couple weeks, so I thought I would give an update on the SDK Community iOS app...
It has taken a great deal of time to get this app ready, so I've decided to release it in stages, as discussed in an earlier blog.
I'm planning on having the initial release ready for the App Store by the end of this month. It will include, at a minimum, the following:
1. Blogs - View featured, post comments
2. Polls - view and vote
3. Chatrooms - full chatting
4. Groups - view and shout
5. Messages - view and write
6. Local notification alerts (for 10 minutes after minimizing the app)
I may try to cram other features into the app this month, but I thought it would be better to at least get something out there to receive feedback. I can also continue to work on new versions of the app, while also continuing projects for the community outside the app, namely The Mystical Journey. The plan is to have new versions of the app about once per month, eventually leading to most of the features of the websites, plus some unique ones.
The entire app communicates with the server through a JSON API, which I will be opening up for other members to use to tie into their own websites or apps. Aspects of the API I plan on initially opening are:
There will probably be some group-related features, too. Basically, all the initial API calls will be publicly-accessible information - meaning no login required.
While learning all the ins-and-outs of iOS, I developed another app, which is available in the App Store now. You can find it by searching "Loot Flipping". The flow of the menus in the SDK Community app will be similar to this app.
I've included screenshots below. Note that just the content is in place, but everything hasn't been prettied up yet, so it looks kind of plain.
This makes me want to explode Walmart, because I don't have enough money to buy an iProduct. It sounds great. By the way, iOS means iPhone 4, right? Does that mean it will only be for iOS, or for all other iProducts, like the iPod Touch?

It would be nice if there were settings for notifications, like... Adjusting the notification time, cause I want to keep on receiving notifications after 10 minutes, since I am away from home a lot.

Pretty nice; I been working on SocialBlue(2) which works on iPhones and iPods. I'm thinking about creating apps for website.
I will be willing to test the app out before release date if you wont.
