Recently a hacker has supposedly been able to glitch into the mainframe of the SDK Community server and was chatting in a fake chatroom known as "HACKED!." The user who did this crime is mayikillyou. If you know him IRL.... tell him he better watch his back... many people on these websites probably hate him now.... I don't hate him... I strongly dislike him.
He claims it was just a glitch.... mayikillyou.... if you could so kindly comment on this blog the link to Chatroom HACKED! I shall probably dislike like you less... probably not...
Entering a non-functioning chatroom is hardly a hack. I'd left the code for chatroom entry untouched for 3 years, just because it was harmless and a very low priority among all the projects. The only reason I took case of it yesterday is that I thought it would be fun creating a silly status message. So, no harm, no foul.

Then how exactly do you do it?

I just wasn't filtering out allowable chatrooms in the URL, so it would appear that other chatrooms were usable. I had it set up like this 3 years ago because I kept adding new chatrooms and didn't want to have to keep updating code in several places. Unless the database had a specific chatrooms added, it was just a dead page. Member status refreshes when you land on any page, including dead ones.

What about the main page glitching, then?

I could barely read anything. That was the part that made me say it was a hack. If it was just the HACKED! thing, I wouldn't have been worried.
