I've started work on the next version of the SDK Community app for iOS. The first notable addition will be viewing and rating paintings from the DSi, Wii, and 3DS. Here is an early screenshot:
I'd like to add another aspect of the community to this release, as well. There have been a few requests for the chatrooms, but when I see the chatrooms nearly dead most nights (because Group shoutboxes get all the action), I would tend to drop their priority. Friend lists and profiles may be worth the addition, since they are a critical element of the community. For anyone who has tried the app, what would you like to see?
I would also like to do something, as a thank you, for those who have purchased the "Pro" version of the app. It could be an earlier release of new versions (a week or so), Savii bucks, etc. If you have any ideas, let me know. Keep in mind that the apps themselves will only differ by the ad banner, which the free version has, and the "Pro" does not.
Well hullbreach maybe you should build in a security so people dont crack yourre app example people crack your pro app and upload it to installous so other people can get it for free. You might get more money if you secure your app
You should definitely include the chats. I don't personally have an iDevice, so it wouldn't be of much use to me, but it might actually help rekindle the chatrooms a bit.
It's a shame that the chats are so dead. People like using group shoutboxes because they're much harder to moderate, and they can get away with stuff they'd never normally be able to do in a chatroom. I think there need to be some more limits to groups.
