Day instantly turned to night
A huge booming sound gave everyone a fright
Everything falling down
Startling them with such a sound

What the Hell is going on?
What once stood is now gone
Destroyed by a monster in the sky
Who thought he was mighty and high

So much heartache and pain
What was really to gain?
I find it kinda funny that they think they're cool
When we all know the truth is they're fools

They think they can tear us apart
They try to destroy this great land's heart
United as we stand
We gather around hand in hand

Now we have rebuilt
Do you see all of your guilt?
It floats around your shame
You thought this was all a game

Even as they are no longer there
They'll still stand up in the air
We'll remember them inside
We will still hold our pride

One thing I don't get is why we don't care about other major events in the world that killed way more people and effected way more future generations. Oh right...America doesn't give a Chuck. What about the 2004 tsunami? Most if not all children under the age of 10 (or thereabouts) have never heard of such an event, unless it affected them in some way or their parents educated them on such matters. 9/11 is important...heck yes it is, but (this is an innocent question) what makes it more important than about double, triple even quadruple the amount of people dying in 9/11 in another event? I'm not being anti-American, I'm just pointing out something that people have started to notice. 9/11 is symbollic because of terrorists, but more people die in areas of Chicago afflicted with gangs than said terrorist attacks combined. Are gangs as big as terrorists? Nah. Now we're constantly under watch when before we used to have the even the slimmest amount of privacy. This also brings up the Boston Marathon. There were only several victims yet it still tears us apart. How do we brush of mass-death in other countries but can't seem to brush off our own with such little casualities? Even huge events in OUR OWN country are ignored. What about that factory explosion in Texas? Ever heard of it? This is an extremely controversial topic so please don't reply if you're going to spew negative donkey poo.
Anyway...this is not against Boston Marathon victims and 9/11 victims. ANY DEATH IS A TRAGEDY AND SHOULD BE REGARDED WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT. May these victims and victims of countless other such events rest in peace. May their families get past such hardships and look omwards. My love goes ro all of them and of heroes who died trying to save others. I feel like I'm being an idiot on a fabulous, sentimental piece of wok, thus I shall conclude. That is amazingly true. Americans are pretty stupid at times. There was a GIANT deal for the Boston Bombing and Newtown shooting or whatever it was called, but with the slaughter in Syria, all Americans seem to think about is "Should we send in troops or not?" There aren't any memorials on the news about how tons of people died because of terrorists, just "I hope they stay FAR away from the US."

I am an American, but with what this country's coming to, it's hard to be patriotic.
