The average user is likely to wrinkle nose at a negative blog as much as the next. Unfortunately, I'm doing it here. This is to inform on what not to draw in paint. Based on long-term observation, here are some lines I've construed from various sources.
- Duplicates
Simple. No reason why you need copies of an image. Not even two. Several hundred is outright spam. If you want backup, download it on a computer.
- Blanks
For avatar purposes, each user may have 1 blank paint (per app) tops. If you accidentally saved a white image, why not go to your album and delete it? Blank sprites are not permitted because they're unavailable as avatars.
- Iteration
The time for multiple saves into new images has passed, as now saving overwrites the last save.
- Scribbles
Please, a dot or line is an insult to the app you're using.
- Spam
Saving images to harvest Savii points or procure badges unfairly is
strictly off limits.
- Slander
Slander is intent to discredit or hurt reputation of an entity. Other users, people, religions, countries, websites are a few. We don't want to see words/themes like "Obama sucks" or "Hull is trash" or "this is gay".
- Violence
Weapons, swords, guns, fighting are allowed. Don't take it too far by depicting a blown off head or crazy blood spurts.
- Self-harm
Most commonly, cutting and razor blades. Regardless of whether expressing yourself or displaying support, don't draw this. Nooses and guns pointed at self are other less frequent examples.
- Drugs
Largely marijuana. Joints, bongs, weed leaves, packets of it? No. As for cigarettes and alcohol, you are simply discouraged to draw them.
- Language
Swears, censored/abbreviated or not, can't be here. Same if in foreign language.
- Nudity
Genitalia, porn, and sex are an easy no-go. Swimsuits and low-cut blouses can be passable.
- Other
The middle finger, terrorism, morbidness, torture, sexual undertones, urls to uncouth sites.
