I don't normally do reviews, but I think this movie needs one. I recently watched To Save a Life, and I found it very intense. No, not action intense, but the message is intense.
Jake Taylor(the popular jock at school) is living it up. He has a promising future, a 'perfect' girlfriend, and too many friends for his own good. That is, until his childhood best friend shoots himself in front of Jake, leaving him to ponder,"Could I have saved him?"
Jake soon finds himself having to make the toughest decision a senior in highschool could ever have to make: to give up popularity and 'the life' to help a 'nobody', or play it safe and just ignore the 'nobody'.
As he embarks through this journey, his life(and the life of the 'nobody', Johnny Garcia) spirals out of control, and Jake's left having to trust in his new found faith to get himself and Johhny through it.
I hope at the end of this movie, you'll be left asking yourself,"How far would I go to save a life?"
Note: This may be a movie involving religion, but I think it has a great message to it, and that everyone would benifit from watching it.
I just don't want my brother to come into my room and see me sobbing uncontrollably. Does the song 'How to Save a Life' ever come on during this flick?

Honestly, I don't know if I could save a life on purpose. I've had many say I've influenced their life for the better, but none of them were people I purposely tried saving.
You never know, you could've saved a life without even realizing it.
I doubt it. Honestly, I've been the sad person that would need saving in many a situation. I've never been very close with any person who was to that point.
Though, it might be nice to help someone, I'm just not that good or nice a person.
