Lately, I've noticed that there are fewer and fewer users in chats at any given time, and while the same has been said by many others in the past, I feel that the user loss is accelerating. Everybody is going to Groups instead. But where does that leave the new members? if they're not in a Group, how will they learn about the site? how will they become known, and invited into Groups?
Because there's nobody to welcome them, new members probably feel left out, or recieve the impression that Paint is a dead site. But we're not; we're just hidden away from them. If they aren't enjoying Paint, they'll have no reason to tell their friends about it.
Paint needs more people in chats. We're probably losing users to other sites because of empty chats! It's a sad thing when there are often more admins than regular members in a given chat.
Why are all you people chatting in Groups, when you can be using the dedicated chatrooms? Groups are generally laggier than chats, I believe, and they are difficult to moderate due simply to the large number of them. You should be in the chatrooms, keeping them active, and supporting your site!
I might use the chats more thanks to this blog. But, I'll always like groups better and that'll never change unless... Hull takes Sei's idea and the groups change. Then, I'd never believe in groups again.
I don't use group shouts, I just hope people use chats more often. It's just boring when nobody's in chats. Maybe I'll post something, but then nobody gets back to it for a while.

TROLOLOLOLOL.
But in all seriousness, Icarus is right. The chats were very active a week or two ago... What happened? The strangest part is that the groups have been oddly quiet as well. What, is everyone throwing freakin temper tantrums because they get banned all the time? Are they all "emo" and "muste ct" all the time?? Are they all trying to prove a point that whining on this site means that they must "quit forever"?
P.S. and oh, you're not fooling anybody, either. We all see those alts you are using to break the rules behind our backs. We see you proudly skipping back onto Paint but laying low so others still "think" you are "quitting". We know who you are. -.-"
I think there should be some kind of limitation on the creation and/or use of groups. It's difficult to come up with ideas that can't be abused or aren;t too harsh, but there has to be some way. As Haru said, groups are much harder to moderate than the chats, so people can get away with more unscrupulous acts.
I agree. Firstly, there needs to be a log of new groups made, that'd help a lot. I also think you should have to buy them. With savvi points. That way you also couldn't make one as soon as you join.
Somebody he likes should do it, he always suggests an alternative we have to my ideas that I don't like or says I'm wrong about an issue. e-e I word things weird and confuse everyone, too.
Lol. I agree with you, Sei. But what will we do about groups that have already been made?
And maybe we should have a monthly savii payment to keep your group active? Hey, then the horribly wasteful kids of today can learn about finance, too. My sister is a big example, but it's too late for her. Lol.
I also suggest a deletion of dead groups. For example, groups that are owned by a perma'd user, or one that hasn't been on in a while.
Or the member that hasn't been on for awhile... Maybe instead of deletion, we could "draft" the group, so that when, or if the member does in fact log back on, they would have to reactivate said group. Hm? You like? .-.
