Suzy went to go check the mail. Her and her husband, Gregory were new in town. Having lived there for only two weeks they made friends with a nice couple that lived across the street. John and Lucille Locatelli were there names. Luci preferred to be called Luci. Suzy found this out when they first met.
When they pulled into the drive of their new home they we're greated by a woman who looked to be in her thirties, as were they.
"Why hello there!", she greeted them My name is Lucille Locatelli, but please call me Luci. You must be new here."
"Yes. We've just moved in. I'm Suzy Graven, and this is my husband Gregory.", Suzy introduced them both.
"You mean of Graven's Auto?", Luci asked.
"Yes. Greg is taking over now that Bill has died", she explained.
"Oh. I am so sorry for your loss.", she gave her sincere condolences.
"Thank you. We'll be okay.", Suzy replied.
"I'd better let you settle in.", she said and with that she scurried off to her cozy looking home.
Now two weeks later she was checking the mail to see if the address change had gone through yet. She didn't think it had. In fact she was pretty sure. She did not see the mailman stop at her box. She opened it up and found one envelope. It was very fancy and looked like an invitation. They didn't get invited much where they used to live as they had lived in the country and houses were a quarter mile apart and most driveways were over a mile long.
"Hmm.", she thought out loud. "I know that mailman did not stop here. I've been watching all morning expecting a letter from my work. Maybe one of the neighbors have invited us to do something. Oh I bet it was that Luci. She seems very nice."
She opened the envelope to find the invitation. She found out that it was not from Luci.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Graven,
You have been invited to join me for a spectacular get together.
Sincerely,
Simon
She had heard some gossip about Simon, so she knew about his lavish parties. Everyone in town would die to go to one, and here they were being invited after living here for only two weeks. She rushed inside to tell Greg.
"Oh, Greg! We've been invited!", she exclaimed showing him the invitation.
"Oh. I don't know if we should go. There's a football game on.", he protested.
"Gregory! All you ever talk about is football. Football this, and football that. We never go out and do things!", she said in a huff.
"Oh, alright'", he agreed.
"This will be fabulous! Oh, but we'll need someone to watch the baby.", she said. They had a one year old son named Gregory.
"Hmm.", Greg thought.
"Oh, I know. I'll ask Luci if she can possibly watch him.", she hurried off next door.
"Oh, I won't be able to. We've been invited to a party at Simon's, Suzy.", Luci explained when she asked her.
"So have we! Oh, I'll just get our old sitter.", she said.
"This will be great!", Luci said exitedly.
On the night of the party the four friends left together. When they arrived at Simon's they found ten other guests. They were all in a beautiful room.
A voice over the loudspeaker interrupted Suzy's thoughts.
"Attention everyone. We will start the night by playing a classic: Simon Says.", the voice said.
"Oh that Simon is such a card.", a lady in a red jacket muttered.
"Whatever do you mean?", asked another lady.
"Ha. His names is Simon, and he's having us play Simon Says.", she replied.
The voice returned. "Everyone. Let's begin. If I say Simon says to do something then you do it, but if I do not say Simon says then you do not. Ok. Simon says stand on one foot.", the voice said.
Everyone got that one.
"Wave your right hand."
A man in a blue sweater did, and the light went out. When they went back on he was gone.
"Everyone who is out is escorted to a small room until a new round starts."
They continued playing until only the four friends were left. A back door opened by itself.
"Please walk through the door and head to the left. Please don't mind the mess. We've been going through some minor renovations."
Suzy hadn't been paying attention and headed to the right instead. She heard screaming and growling and ran to see what was going on. The others followed. The came upon a foul beast.
"Oh what the Hell, Donald?! Simon said to have them go to the left. THE LEFT!", Simon bellowed.
"Um. Sorry, Simon sir.", the voice cracked.
"Ugh. I'll deal with you later. That's what ya get fer using last year's winner as yer own personal servant.", he said. "Well shall we continue our game?", he turned to the group.
They all nodded, terrified.
He shook his head. "Nah, I'm took lazy", he said. Then Simon lurched forward and grabbed Suzy. He tore off her head with his teeth, and slurped her blood from the hole in her body where he head once sat.
