It was a little less than a week before Christmas. Santa was busy making sure everything was set. He was going over his list one last time when his head elf, Posli, rushed in.
"Santa! More letters have come in!" Posli hurriedly said.
"Oh no! I thought everything was final." Santa worried.
He found three letterd. Upon opening them his face reddened with pure anger.
"I cannot believe it! These three really think they're getting gifts! Ha! I laugh at that idea!" Santa scoffed.
"What is it?" Posli asked.
"These three are the worst behaved children ever." he said. "They constantly beg their parents for impossible gifts with the whiniest voices."
"Listen to this. The first one, X-Wolf, wants to take over the world for Christmas. Ha. The second, EarAcitak, wants a monkey from the North Pole. What in the world? And the third wants someone to ask him out. That's not so bad, but why should anyone ask him out when he treats them like crap?"
"I do not know." Posli responded.
"Posli, I am putting you in charge of this. Send a 'gift' that will make them realize their wrongs." Santa instructed.
"I'm on it! I will not let you down!" Posli accepted his duty.
Posli spent the next few hours coming up with ideas. He didn't believe any of them would rea work.
"Hmm. I guess I could just send them coal. No, no, no! That's been done every year. Maybe I could send rotten eggs. No, that will not do! I need something that has never been done before." he mumbled to himself.
Posli had been messing with his phone when he found a number and dialed it.
"Hello?" answered a scratchy voice.
"Boogey! So glad I caught you!" replied an overly excited Posli.
"Posli? Is that you?" he asked.
"Ya. I wanna know if you wanna help me with something huge!" Posli said quickly.
"Yea, I'll help."
"Good."
Boogey met Posli at Santa's workshop later that afternoon. He knocked on the heavy oak door and waited for an answer. The door opened up and Posli rushed him in.
"Wait here, Boogey." Posli told him as he darted into a small closet under the large, wooden staircase.
As Boogey waited he admired on the wall. There was a portrait style painting of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
"Hmm. I wonder what Posli has up his sleeve and how long it will take. I've got next year's schedule of work to set up." he said to himself.
All of a sudden Posli arrived in the room with three glowing present boxes.
"Presents? Just what are we doing today, Posli?" he asked.
"Making 'gifts' for the top three children on the naughty list." Posli responded.
"And since when do the little bastards get gifts?" Boogey questioned.
"Oh they aren't really gifts, but tricks."
"Tricks, huh." Boogey said.
"Yup. That's where you come in. You see, these gift boxes are magic. When the recipient opens them he or she turns into whatever gift they had asked for." Posli explained. "You know every child's worst fear, so you can manifest that fear and include it in each gift that way the chil are very afraid."
"Oh I like this idea." Boogey said smiling.
On Christmas morning X-Wolf shuffled into the living room. This would be like any other morning of any other day. She never received gifts and simply did not care. At least that's what she told everyone. The only thing she ever asked for was something she was sure Santa would never give her. She sort of despised him for that.
"How dare that for not give me what I want, no, DESERVE for Christmas?! What a foolish holiday." she mumbled to herself.
The only thing she ever wanted was to take over the world. She wrote a truckload of nasty letters demanding this as well.
When X-Wolf got to the living room she saw a huge present for her, and without thinking she ripped it open. Out came a huge dark creature. A creature of pure death.
"Agggghhhh!" she screamed and all of her feelings came wooshing out. Death collected them all leaving her emotionless and with no motivation to do anything.
The next child was EarAcitak. She was foolish enough to think monkeys lived on the North Pole and demanded one every year.
"GIVE ME A MONKEY NOW! I WANT ONE FROM THE NORTH POLE! GIMEEEEE!" she wailed im the most annoying voice.
When she opened her box a swarm of butterflies flew out.
"Agggghhhh! Not butterflies! They're so creeeepyyyyy!"
They used their magic to turn her into a moldy banana.
The last child was Solarus. The only gift he wanted was for someone to ask him out, but he treated others poorly. He didn't mean to, but nevertheless he did. When he opened his gift a huge wave came out. He froze and did not know what to do. Drowning was his fear. A fish appeared and cursed him so that the only creatures that would ever ask him out would be those of the sea.
The End
Merry Christmas
