So apparently some people don't know what racism is.
And they think they have to pretend everybody is exactly the same.
LOL.
"hay bamnma, dont u kno wats in the consituation frum the uniteds stats? al men ar created equel."
But see, that doesn't mean everyone looks the same. There are different races of people.
So, common misconception. It is actually not racist to say what skin color someone has or what race someone is.
"Laurel is purple."
Statements similar to that are facts, not racism.
Let's say as a ficticious example that Laurel is visiting an area with a high population of green people. If one green person asks another what Laurel looks like, is he going to have to avoid referring to Laurel's purpleness? Of course not. It is often easier to describe someone by skin color.
Another thing, certain races tend to have certain qualities. I don't mean some races have superior qualities. I mean people of various races are different. Everyone is unique individually, sure. But many people of a certain race will see things similarly. Or maybe certain races tend to have certain speech qualities. Maybe purple people say 'dude' a lot and green people say 'dudeston' instead.
So what is racism then? Racism is the idea that a particular race is inferior. As an example, "purple people are all stupid" would be racist.
Here's one thing I want to point out...African Americans are brown not black...? I know they had darker skin when they were transported to the U.S. but it doesn't really apply anymore. I'm brown, but not Aafrican American and some 'black' people have lighter skin than I do. Also, European descendants aren't legitimately white. They go from pale to tan...there's a whole spectrum. It all just makes no logical sense.
