The servers used for these websites are about 2 years old - which is ancient in computer years - so I will be migrating both the Web server and the database server to some beefier machines. They will have the same amount of RAM but slightly faster CPUs. Also, since only a fraction of the hard disk space is being used on each server, I'm going with solid state drives that have about half the space (still more than enough, though) and much more bandwidth. So, what does this mean for everyone?
I think the last time it was upgraded, the servers were split up, and the time in limbo resulted in a bunch of stuff on the site missing. So disregarding a backup server, it might explain the things not working now?
