Database Server Migration Grrrs

I attempted to migrate the database server to a faster machine, but the process kept freezing up. After about 90 minutes of server downtime, nothing has been accomplished. I'll try again tomorrow, doing a manual migration if need be.

UPDATE:
I made another attempt Thursday - after a supposed issued had been resolved at the datacenter. The migration still froze up for an hour. I guess I'll have to migrate everything manually tomorrow.

So doing manual switch require more work. This happen to me when I try to upload all my database files to a server; come to find out that all of my files was not switch.

Hurm, tried to put all files in one directory? Hull was probably talking about his (FTP?) server that was freezing up (datacenter?)
