Note: all pictures are taken off of the anonymous art of revolution page on Facebook
Another note: This is how I view these pictures. I may see them differently than you do, so I don't want anyone coming and posting something like, "Oh, you're wrong about the meaning of that picture. You're stupid."
Hi, everyone! Yeah, hi. I said hellooo. Aaanyway, the point of me writing this blog is not to greet all of you, or please you, or anything of the sort. The point of me writing this is that I want to show you my view on the world in just a few photos, and so I shall.
So many times in my life, I regretted not saying anything in a situation where I could have. This has taught me exactly the meaning of this picture. This isn't going to be the best example, but I want to point something out that maybe you can relate to, so I'll make the connection to further help you understand.
So try imagining this situation:
The head of your construction group is trying to keep all costs spent to a minimum. He is looking at the map of the building you guys are working on and happens to notice some small parts near the ceiling that he decides won't make much of a difference if you exclude them. He discuses the situation and many of your fellow workers agree with this, and it's all down to you. You can either speak out and tell them that this idea is very bad because those parts could be very important to supporting the ceiling, or you could just blend in with the majority, which could, in the end, result in the destruction of your work. If you say something, it won't cost you anything, it won't ruin your life. If, however, you don't say anything and the building ends up collapsing on someone, you could be sued, fired, and end up with a bad reputation for life. Which yes, is costing your everything.
Now this is another picture which I agree with
This means something to me because the people suffering are people just like us.
Imagine being in a situation where you were on the verge of being homeless, you didn't have enough money to live off of, nor did anyone around you. Everyone refused to help, most, even unknowing about your situation. You watch everyone spending money on stupid things like going to some live game instead of watching it on television. Now wouldn't you wish that everyone was willing to help one another?
We can all make a difference in this world, and I strongly believe that. Some people are just too lazy, selfish, and careless.
This picture shows me how greedy, stupid, and selfish we can be. Not only are we now keeping things away from people who need them most, but we're also destroying our world. We're basically killing it. People can get arrested for animal abuse, sexual abuse, and even vandalism. Why not be arrested for screwing up our environment? For instead of harming us, for harming our future and our great grand children's futures?
This picture portrays the situation so well, I'm sure you'd understand without me even having to explain it, though, I'm going to anyway. This is everyone around me, and myself from the past too. Yes, I know everyone always brings up the importance of school and don't waste your chance at education, but I'm going to bring that up too, since it's the simplest example.
I see many people going to school everyday and quite a lot say, "Oh my god, I hate school". You know who those people usually are. The slackers, the careless, usually the stupid people. Anyway, basically, they never do their homework and they don't care if they fail, while in other countries, people don't even have the chance to get to high school. The government is giving them an opportunity for free, we're being given a future, but the careless people are burning it away by not wanting to learn, or being ignorant to this fact. Even quitting school because they don't see the opportunity.
Don't be deceived by everything you see. You must learn to doubt.
And lastly, this picture
This one gives me hope for a brighter future, hope for myself and others. It tells me to support my likes and beliefs, as well as others because everyone following their dreams will achieve something, and if we're all achieving amazing things, we'll all be happy and confident. This also tells me never to let anyone else try to tell me my dreams are impossible or my beliefs are fake because no one can ever take my thoughts away from me, I'm free to think whatever I think. I should cherish them because they are my freedom which no one can take in ten billion years.
Thank you for reading my blog, I hope you enjoyed a little insight on my views and maybe that you even agree? Feel free to comment your thoughts and such.
I kind of got a "I hope I at least get a C+ on this" vibe from this essay.
Very true though.
For example, Net Neutrality is a HUGE issue right now. Giant corporations are trying to crush the freedom of the internet. And a lot of people are doing nothing.
The companies have obviously been trying to get away with this. If you look at any news channel on TV, do you hear anything about it at all? No.
Every single person that voices their resistance to this is helping THAT much.
America's ISP's are pathetic and greedy. Allowing them the level of control they want is a terrible mistake we'd regret.
