Hey.

You like this community, right? If you're reading this blog chances are that you actually like it here. Yeah, I like it too. It's a fun place to hang around and talk to new and old friends about all kinds of stuff.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who has had awesome moments here, and also not the only one that doesn't want to see them go.

In previous years, at least in the time I've spent here, I've seen a relatively significant amount of activity, especially in the holidays and breaks. But it's apparent that this has started to dwindle throughout the years. It used to be that in summer breaks or other holidays you would see several people in the chats during the day and on evenings, hundreds of group shout posts, and an abundant amount of featured blogs, but all that has slowly started to vanish.

But more recently I've noticed that the chats and other aspects of the community have rapidly started to lose even more activity, and that's concerning. I see less and less notifications for group shouts and decreasing blog activity. I've been trying to encourage people to write and submit more decent blogs, and that has worked pretty well recently, but even that is bound to fail at some point. There are also less and less nightly chats. We used to have nightly chats, what happened to that?

So, I came up with an idea, that should at least bring back activity for the summer.

THE IDEA

How about every single night (if possible), for a few weeks, have a nightly chat and do fun stuff that generally happens when events are hosted?

This includes (but are not limited to):

• online matches for 3DS and Wii U titles, or even other platforms
• gameshows
• debates and discussions
• or multiplayer games that anyone can join through a web browser.

You may be asking how this differs from regular chatroom night or event. The simple answer is that something will actually be happening every night, aside from regular chatting (the list above), and that with a collaboration of everyone, these activities will be possible.

I got this idea because activities like those rarely happen, and that can be changed. Which leads me to emphasize this next point.

We need participation.

These events will technically be hosted by yours truly, but that doesn't have to be the case. Anyone can jump in and suggest a nightly activity (list above) and be the host of it. I will be the one trying to bring as many people in.

Again, participation is encouraged. This idea will either catastrophically fail or be a general success depending on those who are willing to participate and have fun. I can't do it all alone, but I will do as much as I can.

EVENTS

As the writing of this blog, I've decided to let this idea sink in for around a week or so before it actually occurs (depending on the feedback).

I have planned for these events to happen every single night (which doesn't have to be) starting on JUNE 19th, 2015 at 10PM CT (8PM PT and 11PM EST). The events will be set for every single night, but that doesn't mean that they need to happen all the time, as the purpose of this idea is for them to happen much more frequently. We all have lives and stuff happens, and that's fine.

FEEDBACK

Now time for the most important part of this blog.

I need to know what you think.

If you'd like to see some modifications to this idea, please tell me. If you think it's stupid, please tell me and offer an alternative. This will happen or not depending on the feedback. I'm open to all opinions and ideas. The purpose of this is for everyone to have a great time and a less boring summer.
