I scream as more tears spill down my face.
"G-grandma?" Silence. I am about to lose hope, but then she speaks,
"Sage." A long pause. "Take... care of...yourself. I" she shuts her eyes, then finishes her sentence in a mere whisper, "Love you." And she`s gone. Oh my God, where is he? I KNOW my father did this were is he? I didn`t even turn around when the bullet was shot! How could I be so stupid? Hot tears take over and I know why, the monster within me... Is ready to come out. I get up, suddenly feeling invincible.
I walk carefully towards my room, but once I`m next to the staircase, someone pops out and grabs me. I scream. It`s my father.
"The cops are already on their way! Let me go!" I yell, kicking and punching at any part of him I can get to.
"Yeah? And when they get here, I`ll turn myself in. I`ll probably get life in prison, but this is all worth it. You know, I didn`t really get released right?" I`m still kicking, but I stop because I`m in shock.
"What?! But... Why.. I`m so..." I need to catch my breath. "Confused." He seems very amused.
"If I had told you I escaped, you woulda called the cops."
"What do you want from me?" I begin to cry again. He pushes me into a wall, then draws his gun from his jacket and points it straight at me. I shut my eyes. Open them. Breathe. I assess the situation. His stance, feet spread apart. His fingers tense around the trigger. Think. Think. It hits me, his feet are spread apart and he`s close enough for me to kick him. Hard. When I do, he`ll most likely fall to the ground, and drop the gun, then I have about five seconds to grab the gun before he starts to reach for it. I`m going to have to trust myself to be badass for at least two minutes, if my plan works... Well, I`ll take it from there.
"I`m going to shoot you," he says, with a sick smile on his face. Now! I kick him as hard as I can, he falls to the floor squealing much like a little girl, he drops the gun and I practically dive for it. I point it at him.
