I wasn't around to see most of them, but I'm guessing these sorts of 'remembering what once was' blogs/posts are common. Acknowledging that, I'm going to make another. Y not?
I joined late 2010, making my membership about 6 years old, a third of my lifetime. Looking back on the cringe-fest that was my time on here as a preteen, I made many close friends and had plenty of memorable experiences. I wasn't necessarily a model user, getting on the nerves of every mod/admin, that time I was permabanned.. anyway, it was fun nonetheless. My English is a lot better now, and the developmental experiences I had on this website will stay with me forever.
Maybe it's because of the decline of the DSi or the advancements in social media, but the community has taken a dosedive. It's sad that the level of engagement and population might never be the same again, but I've seen that connections are still being made and the remaining population is still chatting, posting, messaging, and polling.
I hope this continues to be so for whoever the above applies to. Hullbreach, perhaps unknowingly, has created a wonderful place which continues to harbour a friendly community and I am confident that many other users who have grown out of DSiPaint feel the same.
