We took our state test today for Algebra 1 and just mmMM I love know ahead of time this ONE singular test will be why I don't graduate. Because for some reason if you don't get good enough Grades on the states tests for Math from Freshman-Senior year rest in pieces no graduation for you.
But the tests aren't even fair! The teachers don't know whats on it so they can't make sure we know it, and then we take the tests and HAHA what you learned isn't even on it.
They gave us a formulas page but oh look, its not even Algebra formulas its fucking GEOMETRY AND POUNDS TO OUNCES. Its the same Formulas we used LAST YEAR.
One question I got didn't even make sense. The equation I got was B(d)=45•1.5d
And the question was What does 0.5 represent in this function.
WHAT 0.5!? There wasn't a 0.5
Another thing I got was something about Quadratic Formulas or something.
I have no idea what a Quadratic Formula is.
All the state tests are dumb like this. On our English practice test you were supposed to answer why you chose your answer with evidence from the text.
The "correct" answer was another question. IN WHAT WORLD DO YOU GIVE A QUESTION AS EVIDENCE?
Anyways weird ranty thing about my states tests over.
I don't have to, the tests are optional to homeschooled students, I thin it is because all the work done by the student gets evaluated by a teacher and they will say if you are at a high enough level to pass.

Especially if the question is literally asking you to, drag a frickton of - and 0's into two boxes. But wait, somehow it's related to some girl buying 800 god damn oranges.
About the 0.5 there is a .5 in the question. it's the 1.5 since it TECHNICALLY has a 0.5 but it's worded stupidly, the correct question would be:"What does 0.5 in the 1.5 shown above represent in this function?". Although that's a really stupid question to ask on a state test. Like UHM IDK MAYBE IT REPRESENTS A DECIMALLLL???!??!11
Also "I love know ahead of time this ONE singular test" should be "I love to know ahead of time BUT this ONE singular test".
Yea someone else said that too, but the Question didn't even have a word problem or explanation to even know what the heck the equation/function was for.
And yea I realized afterwards that I made that typo but Know was supposed to be Knowing
pfft yea. Especially in the magical land of Ohio where no matter what, everyones dumber than a box of rocks with no real future except becoming a druggie.
