I was at a huge campsite, sitting on a log, in front of me was a campfire, the cool fall breeze made me shiver, but the fire warmed up my legs. The group I was in was the smallest at this camp, there were four kids including me. Dylan, Leia, and Dante. On my right was Dylan, he had dirty blonde hair and blueish greenish eyes, he was quiet most of the time, unlike me, when I'm not around new people. And on my right was Dante a blonde with brown eyes, and Leia a brunette with dark brown -that was so dark it looked black- eyes. They were secretly dating, but it wasn't a secret for Dylan and I. Dylan seems to be a nice guy, but I didn't really like Leia and Dante, I just tried and shrugged my annoyance away though. We were going to be here for 3 weeks, and only 2 days had passed, better get used to it. Tonight we were eating s'mores and roasted potatoes. When Dante finished his s'more he grinned and said,
"Now... Who wants to hear a scary story?"
Leia looked at him,
"Will it be scary? It won't be one of those lame "scary" stories for five year olds, will it?"
Dante laughed, pulled her closer to him and kissed her forehead,
"Trust me babe, when I'm done, even Dylan will be scared."
I looked over to Dylan, he just smirked,
"Just try."
I laughed nervously,
"Can't we just tell jokes...?"
Dante laughed,
"No way! You're scared already? Hah!"
He stood on the log he and Leia were sitting on, cleared his throat, and began, "Ahem. There once was "
Once there was a young woman who had a child, but couldn't afford to take care of it by herself, so she put a blue baby bonnet on it's head and carried it two miles from her house and left it in the woods
As she began to walk home she heard
"Blue Baby Bonnet One Mile Away"
As she reaches her home she hears
"Blue Baby Bonnet, One Mile Away"
As she sits in her living room to read a book she hears
"Blue Baby Bonnet, Coming Up the Driveway"
She runs upstairs and sits on her bed she hears
"Blue Baby Bonnet, Standing At Your Door"
She hides under the bed and hears . .
"Blue Baby . . .BOOO!"
Me and Leia screamed as Dante scared us with a yell, Leia slapped his leg playfully, "OHMYGOD DANTE! YOU SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME!"
I was hugging my knees. Then I pointed out,
"Dylan didn't even flinch."
We all looked toward where Dylan sat, but he wasn't there.
