In this blog, i will be reviewing the Crush 40 album 'Super Sonic Songs'. I will put the longer worded reviews in spoilers, so that those of you who want to get straight to the point can zip through looking at the overall ratings.
I still have no idea what genre of music these are.
I may or may not be a little biased towards Jun Senoue as he is my favourite guitarist-- so note that the instrument rating may be higher than it should.
1. I Am... All of Me (New Mix)
Melody; The beat is a good one, and Jun Senoue's guitar plays against Johnny Gioeli's singing quite well. The drums played by are kept in the backround most of the time, but you can constantly hear those cymbols keeping that catchy beat running.
Instruments;
Vocals; I'm not entirely fond of effects to the singing as I prefer to hear a singer's voice naturally, but this song uses them well.
Lyrics; The lyrics I find are fine for Shadow The Hedgehog's theme-- edgy and bold.
Thoughts; The New Mix adds in some new length and mixes up the order of the lyrics, while adding in some new ones-- a fresh new look for this song.
