NSP - Mansion Party was an ok song-- felt a little too sluggish for me
and lyrics were eh one of those songs that reminded me of other songs, and made me want to listen to those other songs instead
NSP - First Date oh man i absolutely loved the instruments in this
i was really upset when they had that guy talking because i would've enjoyed listening to the music instead
and i can barely even understand what he's saying
but someone posted lyrics in the comments
wow uh
the lyrics are m a y b e a bit too extreme for me, yes
and yeah
that's not really supposed to matter for music to be enjoyed
but it does for me so SHH
NSP - Danny Don't You Know oof
guitar solo was pretty excellent
also the ninja man
idk it's not something that'd i'd listen to
it was a nice song but
not to my tastes
Ken Ashcorp - Burgz look
i'm probably a bad person for not having given this song a chance but
his voice is no
and it's 1:30 ok
and i don't like this type of rock
it's too heavily relied on voice iDK
all i can think of is the diary of a wimpy kid movie and the older brother's band when i hear this kind of rock
ok i went to sleep and it's now 11:41, so i can probably listen to the next songs entirely to be a little more respectful towards the creators
m a y b e
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Look Around i liked the rap-like thing they went for in some places
it was a pretty solid song except i would've preferred it if they had put more effort into showcasing the instruments with some special melody
like a solo?
i mean
i don't know music terms so i d k what to call it
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop uh welp
this was a little too dry for me
like, it was forgettable, same as Danny Don't You Know
i prefer-- as you probably noticed so far-- instruments over voice
and the voice was the main focus here
from what i saw hhhhhhhhh
i just didn't enjoy how they handled the voice here ok
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication this is goooddddddd
i loved the slow and calming beat
how they balanced between instruments and voice
this is my favourite out of all these songs so farrr
also
hard core soft porn
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Dani California i really don't know what to say about this one
but i mean
i think i enjoyed it
i don't want to listen to it again so
i guess i didn't enjoy it lol
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Slow Cheetah nice song
i enjoyed it
i liked itttt
a lot
was nice and calming
a good song to zone out to, yes
Proof by Paramore man this song was great
i liked the beat, the singing, everything
this is exactly the kind of rock i like
not too heavy, but also not too soft
it's now my favourite out of all these
it makes me think of a PINK song too for some reason?
also i've noticed my thoughts have been less c r i t i c a l and more "is good, i like/is ok, but i dislike" towards the end of this infinite list of songs
Hammer - Cover by Point North i don't like this type of 'screamy' singing
and uhhh lyrics were uH too sweary
other than that, instruments did a nice job
barely noticed them over the S I N G I N G tho'
Never Too Late, Time of Dying, Pain, and I Hate Everything About You by Three Days Grace i loved the sound of every one of these
everything about them was amazing
except for the lyrics lol what the heck, i felt so heavy just listening to all the depression that these songs had
i actually had to listen to rise again in-between these just to hear it off
and maybe i am exaggerating, but i mostly listen to uhhhh happy/uplifting stuff so hMhmHmmMmMM m
also i rrrrrrreally dislike the singer's voice *oof*
Over and Over by Three Days Grace OMG (oh my gosh)
this song is perfect
i'm just so mad because i hate his voice lol
i love it
and VIOLINS
it's symphonic rock in a wayyyy
dude
if not for his voice-- that i swear i'm sorry for hating, but i do-- i'd be loving this so much more
and wow this isn't even edgy/depressing compared to the other TDG songs
i've listened to this multiple times now already
Chop Suey and Forest by System of a Down these were both gooddddddd
i liked 'em
though i strongly prefer Forest over Chop Suey
mostly because CS sounded a lot heavier, and i don't like it t h a t heavy with that amout of y e l l i n g
otherwise both are pretty excellent and i'd be interested in more
o k time for the pleb game songs
funny thinG is i listened to all of these day 1
but i only wrote something on the gungeon rap so aHAha less work for me now
Enter the Gungeon Rap OST beat was pretty neat along with good instruments
the kinda distorted rap along with the other background vocalizing was well done
and the gunshots heard added the feeling as if a battle was going on during the song
i liked this one a lot
note: these were the only "thoughts" i wrote back in march ahahahahaha
V.K - Wings Of Piano fancy song
very beautiful
i love the piano, guitar and violin combination
actually i love all the sounds used
it's a good song to listen to when you go on a walk because w o w it's relaxing
FF IV - Battle with the Four Fiends ~ Elemental Boss Battle Theme holy mackerel
horns and violin
excellent
it gave off a sense of urgency, while also sounding determined
guess that's why it's a boss battle song, hm?
it also reminded me of MOTHER 3 and FF VII-- it's the only FF i've played so aaaaa
but yes
very excellent song
would definitely hear more of this OST
Ashley's Song (EN) - Super Smash Bros. Wii U this was adorableee
and i loved the unique sound it had
kinda jazzy
the leader singer's voice was amazinggg
i am now an Ashley fan

Irrelevant but now that i think about, the whole "I don't like their voices" thing might just be a specific note you might just not like. Like I remember you said some songs felt like dry? It could possibly be the key they're singing in must just be too middle ground, like talk-singing for some. As for TDG possibly yell-singing lol. That's honestly my last theory on it lol.
h e y lets not forget you were dead for the majority of those months, so i had barely any motivation tyvm
and i like how you leaped over everything i said about TDG
i mean, there's not anything to say, but wow i took longest to think up of something to say for their songs
and yessss you did a good job replying
your music taste it's alright, it's not badd
i could imagine myself someday being as edgy as you tbhh
and y e s i want more songs-- but this time base the recommendations on what you learned about my taste here, thanks

Aww, you had to get motivation from me? Wow
Oh shoot, well uhh I completely missed that, TDG was my favorite band at one point but i kind of fell away from them, so yeah i cant really say much, i mean i think i kind of did talk about them because all you said was "eww i dont like their vocals rawr" and i guess i addressed that? The writing in TDG is really good, idk what you mean about the vocals, but i guess its because its a heavy rock band, so it's almost on the verge of screaming, but idk it's the emotion really. AAAA IDK i mean your right i guess???
Lol so you're judging me based on my music tastes? Im joking lol, but are you saying you'll get used to some of the songs, because i definitely think the second time listening to a song is the awakening point. But understandable
Oh and if you mean "edgey" as in like woke or just generally as in just opinionated and stuff/seeing the design in things that's great then. because i've seen you DESTROY new comer blogs with facts and criticism.
What did you think think i was gonna send you JUST nsp songs? xD of course!! i literally said i would use those to get your tastes. peepee brain. xP
yeah it's weird how some songs suck during the first listen, it makes no sense
excuse you that was like one time and i was mad at something or something lol
good lord you're such a bully

I can tell lol
Also why is there -2 now lol? Anyway it's mostly cause on the first listen you hear only certain aspects of the song and not really the nice elements that make the song. I mean some songs are good enough for you to hear the whole thing. Depends really.
I've seen you "administrate" with facts and logic on like 5 blogs haha. Don't even @ me.
Unrelated but maybe you just like more choir-y singing honestly. Like judging from that Ashley song purely. But I mean like I don't get how you just hate some voices when they're really good lol. Maybe you just don't like harder genres tbh.
these dislikes are not ok
i worked too hard for this
i literally have no idea
someone should look up why this happens
@Finrod
i mean, it depends on the song, but yeah it's not that his voice is bad, it's that he sings bad
iiiiiii don't know how to explain lol
but i do like scratchier? i guess you could say-- singing voices

Those dislikes happened because some people are jerks.

@banjo maybe lol, am maybe you can find out,
Well I can't really have any idea what you're talking about, you probably just don't like the genre dude, or possibly could it be the audio, or lyrics? Can you give me a specific song where it's the most frequently occurring?
You're probably just an instrumental person, and aren't used to how rock bands sound honestly.
Good job Gem it only took 4 months, a world record since the SDK quilt lol. Also who voted -1!?
Okay im honestly only surprised you didn't like NSP but now that i think about it, kind of makes sense...
Referring back to the PM most of these guys actually have really beautiful voices. And -it's the point of the song to rely on vocals- Guys that sing are pretty much a miracle so yeah. But i kind of do agree with you actually they're good songs but instrumentals unify the voice A LOT, so tbh you're right in my opinion. Obviously the whole dislike on the voices of the actual singers are more of a you thing though xD.
sorry to play angels advocate but i mean god dang it might be a musical element to have less instrumentals or just be very light on them, it's varies between songs, but i also don't blame you cause you listened from like soft rock all the way to almost thrash metal LOL
For most RHCP songs the vocals are usually almost rap-like, the lead singer was actually a slam poet before he joined the band so thats kind of like his jam. Honestly i didn't do you justice right, because i didn't link "Dark Necessities" by RHCP weird. thats like one of their most popular songs. In fact the bassist from that band is known to be the best in the world. actually lol he especially shines in that song. oof your hurting me cause "Cant stop" and "Danny don't you know" are dear songs to me lol. Uhm i kind of get RHCP though, i had to get used to their kind of vocals almost. They're a really well known and old band i think they're almost 40 years old and the musicians are already 50-60. they're very 80s.
Paramore is pretty much my favorite rock band EVER. in fact next time i'll link you a lot of their songs, they had weird phases though, so some of their music is pretty bad IMO. But they're also just a-MAZING when they're good. Ridiculously good
Btw that hammer cover, kind of loses points by default, like stated its a COVER, the original song is some angsty rapper WHO SUCKS. They really improved the song with rock, but yeah the lyrics aare EWWWW.
I FEEL YOU 100% on System of a down in fact i had to get used to them cause they were my first metal band, i loved the vocals and less of the scream-y stuff in Chop suey and i loved forest, also again i predicted that you would like it but not the scream-y parts xD But after a while of listening to the band you realize WHY the screaming is there, its such beautiful masterpieces honestly, most of their songs are political and about the enviorment/corrupt governments, and genocide. So they convey a LOT of emotion. i have like 2 more songs from them if yo uwant a lsiten. tbh though once you listen to SOAD no other metal band can compare to them. IF you look up their wiki they pretty much changed the course of metal history so yeah, they're also my #1 honestly, paramores just my favorite ROCK band. xD
