The world in which we live is broken and twisted
Death and pain are just two outcomes listed
And yet there are the few who choose to shine.
We are not ashamed of who we are
Our brilliant rays shine like a star
We know where our hope is, wherever we are
For that hope lives inside our hearts.
We wave our banner over the cloud
Of despair and grief spinning around
It is our job on Earth to bring heaven down
For our heavenly father who now wears a crown
So be alert, go out, be proud
But acknowledge there is a lion prowling around
With teeth like knives and claws like steel
He never fails to find a meal
But we can resist his fiery arrows
For there is someone who provides for even the sparrows
For the lion, we know is destined to fall
So now the threat is seemingly small
But do not underestimate the power of this beast
For the ignorant are always his feast
Instead go out and spread the Word
Because we are the light in this sinful world.

Yes. We love our enemies. We forgive them, and we do good to them no matter what they do to us. Sadly, not many Christians actually do that. I try my best to, but sometimes, I find myself trying to get revenge. It's not easy to love your enemies. If a bigger, stronger kid comes up to you and punches you in the face, your first instinct is to punch them back, not forgive them. But if that person punches you, and you forgive them and leave them alone because you love them, they might actually become your friend later. And if they keep coming back and punching you, it's because they arre confused. The world doesn't forgive, it seeks revenge. Christians live in the world, but not of the world; We physically live here, but our God, who saved us and loves us, has made us His children. He 'adopted' us so that we could live with Him and for Him. His kingdom is not on this Earth. That is why we are so different from the Earth. If you have any more questions, send me a message.

I'm not Christian but I don't hate my enemies, I ignore them, I even made friends with some of them.
He said I'm stupid cause Christians love their enemies, and i read it in the bible and well he is basically me and the bible stupid or he hadn't read the bible, and my christian friend told me that last year :p
Wow, I can't believe I never read this one before.
It's AWESOME!
I'm not sure how you do it, but ALL of your Songs and Poems are Beautiful, and (with the exception of the sad ones) Inspiring.
And even though you already know this, you should NEVER be ashamed to Believe in Jesus Christ, or in his Love.
This World can be a very harsh place at times, and the Lion WILL try to tear at you with it's claws, and bite at you with it's fangs, but with God on your side, it will NEVER be able to even scratch you.
Just keep Believing in Christ, whatever you do, and you WILL bring Heaven down here to Earth, just like in this Song/Poem.
(I'm not sure which it is, but either way it's great!)
