hey it's me jax and i have been on the site for a couple days when i have free time and i have noticed that the site and kinda been dying and here is my thoughts on this.

1:tia and retro plus a couple other people other mostly on the site but basically just them mostly.

2:the lack of blogs lately since people just don't want to get on or people are busy and people are switching to the disord version of the 3dspaint which is always active.

3: i know hullbreach is trying to work on a site like this that is more modern and i think that is a great idea but if people are just going to the discord version what will happen to the new site when it comes out.

now i know this blog is very small but this is a very interesting topic that we need to talk about so give me your thoughts and tell me what you think.

The reason people flock to the different discord servers vary, but I assume it's because more people use Discord, and Discord is much more stable than SDKPaint ever was

This is (unfortunately) true, but it certainly isn't a coincidence that my Discord server saw a MASSIVE (albeit somewhat short lived) spike in activity once DC was banned from Paint, and that once @Amjam stopped being able to log in here afterwards things died down immediately.
(It may not make sense to some people, but 1 or 2 super active members really can bring more interest in spending time on the site.)

Although it'll still be a bit before he returns since there were some unexpected delays with him finishing his essay, once @DCTheGamr returns things will inevitably pick back up again.

(This isn't the first time he's saved Paint from dying due to inactivity, lol!)

can’t tell if this is a joke or not, but we’ve had worse than this. shit happens. if you don’t like the site you don’t have to use it

btw this is not a joke and i didn't know how bad this site has gotten but i just noticed that everyone is going to the discord version more and i'm actually trying to make a youtube channel to get more people on the site but i'm sorry gave you the impression that i thought that i didn't like this site because this community is basically a second family to me.

i'm very sorry i hope you will forgive me.

it’ll grow organically. there’s ebbs and flows in activity it’s happened a lot over the years.
