I've made this announcement before, and it was rejected by the admin.

However, I'm not going to let all of Paint be left in the dark about what I want to tell you. I'll put it this way: I'm MarioGamer98629.
You may have seen me before, either through the stories I wrote on this site, or through my participation in the groups where I commented and posted the first stupid things that came to mind.

However, for those who know me here, you'll have already noticed my constant inactivity these past few months. The fact that my account was dead was already a given, but now I want to make it official. And, for those who already read the previous announcement that the admin rejected me, I'm leaving DSIPaint permanently. And now, I'll explain in detail my reasons for abandoning this website:

1. I feel like this site has lost its magic to me: I discovered it a few years ago, around 2021. I didn't have access to a good cell phone yet, and my Nintendo DSI was my only means of accessing the internet. While browsing, I came across a defunct website called Home4DSI, where you could find simple online games for DSI Browser, videos, etc. Obviously, that website no longer exists, however, in the external links to recommended pages on Home4DSI, I found this site, DSIPaint. It was a game-changer for me. A site where I could paint on my DSi and publish my drawings online. As time went by I discovered that there were more users here, and the rest is history. As time went by, I discovered there were more users here, and the rest is history. However, over time, I got a good phone again, and much later (this year) I installed Twilight Menu on my DSi. With that, my two biggest reasons for being here (not having a good phone, and giving my old DS a new lease on life) disappeared.

2. Language barrier: My native language is Spanish, and while I'm fairly fluent in English, it's not perfect either. I've always struggled to write here because there are many aspects of the language you speak that I can't fully grasp. Also, I'm a little uncomfortable speaking to strangers who don't even understand my language. I feel out of place here.

3. Friends: Despite finding some great people here, I still feel like I generally don't connect much with anyone on this site.

To conclude: I simply tell you, this is not my place, I no longer want to be here, and I no longer have reasons to continue here.
However: I'm not deleting my account, and you'll have access to everything I've ever published. Those who have enjoyed my stories (those same stories I've always left unfinished on the blogs) can relive them whenever they want.

And now, I want to say a special goodbye to those I consider my greatest friends in all of Paint: Kashbanooka, DCTheGamr... I never told you, but you've always been my favorites here. You're amazing people!
Now, I have no choice but to say goodbye to this small and forgotten community.
