When an admin feels a user is misbehaving,they may ban the user for 24 hours. And if your friend is banned,don't scream "OMG WHY ARE THEY BANNED?!?!?!?!?!!1!!1111!1!!ONE111ELEVEN!" There is /banlist. Admins have a variety of reasons to ban users:

Alting
When a user is suspected of evading ban,they might be banned for being an alt.An alt is an alternative account,used to evade ban or for other uses.


Cussing
Swearing,profanity,things of that nature.


Cybering
Roleplay sex. Admins have different discretions towards cybering. So be careful.


Minimodding
Acting like an admin in an attempt to get a promotion. This includes the red names and going /me ! WARNING ! and things like that. Ass,damn,hell and bastard are allowed words,so do not classify those as cussing.

Disturbing the peace
Upsetting a whole room,being a bully,or just being a nuisance.


Profile cussing
Swearing in biography,profile comments or signature. Admins usually tell the user to change the content if it is a sig or bio.


Scamming passwords/hacking
Attempting to steal another user's password or getting into another person's account. (This may result in a perma ban)


Bypassing filter
Saying words similar to profanity or words that are profanity but blocked from being censored.


Spamming
Spam is posting a bunch of incoherent or excessive posts/messages,this includes big spaces in profile comments,Chucknorris,mrt,batman command spam,and stretching the chat box so you have to scrol sideways.


Inappropriate conversations
Talking about inappropriate topics. You will be warned once to change the topic.


Sexual PMs
Intent to cyber,or saying inappropriate things in PM. PMs cannot be seen by normal users,but admins can read them.

Linking porn
Instant ban. Linking adult websites that have nudity.


Trolling
Your only purpose is making people mad. Trolling is not funny when you are banned.


Harassing other users
Fighting with other users,being mean to other users,if a user doesn't like what you are doing,then stop.


Flaming
Same as harassing but more hurtful and continuous slander.


Excessive caps
Admins have different discretions on caps. 'HI GUYS!! I LIEK CAPS!!!' And having a whole conversation in caps is not really needed.


Harassing/Begging overlords
Begging an overlord for adminship rights. You will be kicked twice at the MOST. And asking isn't regarded as begging.
